Boosie Thinks Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Is Innocent, but He’s Still Disgusted by Some of His Recent Behavior
While many people have distanced themselves from Sean “Diddy” Combs, rapper Boosie Badazz still believes he is innocent of any crimes. Boosie said Combs is his friend. Still, he doesn’t approve of all his recent behavior. Boosie shared why he didn’t like seeing the way Combs reacted when he heard his verdict.
Boosie ridiculed the way Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs reacted to his sentencing
In an interview on The Breakfast Club, Boosie said he still supports Combs.
“No, I ain’t speak to Diddy, but you know Diddy was my partner, bro,” he said, per Vice. “I feel like Diddy ain’t never did nothing wrong, bro.”
Despite this, he has some issues with Combs. He said he felt angry with Combs for the way he reacted to hearing his verdict during his trial.
“I’m mad at him right now, though, man,” he continued. “He went on the f***ing floor crying at the f***ing thing… he went on the f***ing floor and went under the thing f***ing crying.”
Combs reportedly did not expect to spend any time in prison after his acquittal on three out of five charges. He even booked speaking engagements ahead of his sentencing. Boosie found his reaction unforgivable, particularly because his children were present.
“You got your children in there, n****. You’re a man, you stand on that,” Boosie said. “He was crying under the table. I want to talk to Diddy. He need to call my phone. I need to ask him, why the f*** did you get down there under that f***ing table.”
Boosie thinks his trial will go differently than Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ did
Boosie is currently preparing for a trial for a federal gun case. He doubts he will face time behind bars like Combs.
“I’m confident like a muthaf*****,” he said. “I ain’t going to jail. I don’t speak that out my mouth. I’m from down south. Your word, your mouth, is a powerful source.”
He feels that his judge is relatively understanding, which is fueling his confidence.
“It’s still up to the judge,” he said. “It’s up to God, but it’s up to the judge. You know, people saying, ‘He gotta do two years.’ That’s not a fact of this case. It’s up to the judge what the judge wanna do. I’m confident, man. I’m chin up, chest high. I don’t have a judge that hates me this time. I’ve always had judges that crucified me.”
His release date was recently pushed back
To many, Combs’ prison sentence seems light given the charges against him. He received a sentence of 50 months in prison. Combs initially had a projected release date of May 8, 2028, based on good behavior. Now, though, he is set for release on June 4, 2028.
While it is not currently clear why Combs’ release date was pushed back, the news came just after reports he was caught drinking. His publicist denied these reports, though.
“Mr. Combs is in his first week at FCI Fort Dix and is focused on adjusting, working on himself, and doing better each day,” spokesperson Juda Engelmayer told TMZ. “As with any high-profile individual in a new environment, there will be many rumors and exaggerated stories throughout his time there—most of them untrue. We ask that people give him the benefit of the doubt, the privacy to focus on his personal growth with grace and purpose.”
The Bureau of Prisons also declined to speak on the subject.
