While the Pitt family was spread across the United States, Jane and William Pitt maintained their residence in Springfield, Missouri, where they raised their family and were important pillars in the community. Prior to settling in Springfield, the duo lived in St. Louis, Missouri, and Shawnee, Oklahoma, though the couple considered Springfield their home. William Pitt ran a business in the city. Jane was a lifelong Missouri resident, having been raised in Joplin. While she and her husband did travel with family, including their famous son, they always returned to Missouri.

It is unknown if she died in the home she shared with her husband or if she passed while being cared for at a nursing facility or hospital. That was where he was on August 5, too. The same day that his mother died in Missouri, Brad Pitt was spotted on set in Gardena, California.
According to the Daily Mail, Pitt was seen looking downtrodden on the set of The Continuing Adventures of Cliff Booth. The flick, which was announced in April, is the much-hyped sequel to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Pitt is reprising his role as Cliff Booth. He won an Academy Award for his portrayal of the character in 2020.
