Britney Spears said she wants to perform with her son

In a recent Instagram post, Spears shared a throwback photo of herself sitting at a white piano. She noted that she wanted to send the piano to one of her sons, though she did not specify which one. She shares two sons, Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden, 19, with her ex-husband, Kevin Federline. In the past, she has praised Jayden’s musical talent.

“I will never perform in the U.S. again because of extremely sensitive reasons but I hope to be sitting on a stool with a red rose in my hair, in a bun, performing with my son… in the UK and AUSTRALIA very soon,” she wrote in the caption. “He’s a huge star and I’m so humbled to be in his presence!!! God speed, little man!!!”

In the post, Spears also addressed the videos she often posts of herself dancing.

“Interestingly enough, I dance on IG to heal things in my body that people have no idea about,” she wrote. “Yup and it’s embarrassing sometimes… but I walked through the fire to save my life…”

She last toured in 2018

Spears’ last performances took place during her Pieces of Me Tour in 2018. The tour was a critical and commercial success. During a 2021 statement during a hearing over her conservatorship, however, Spears alleged that her manager forced her to go on tour.

“To recap: I was on tour in 2018,” she said, per Variety. “I was forced to do… My management said if I don’t do this tour, I will have to find an attorney, and by contract my own management could sue me if I didn’t follow through with the tour.”

She said that after the success of her Las Vegas residency, she was pushed into taking the show on the road.

“He handed me a sheet of paper as I got off the stage in Vegas and said I had to sign it. It was very threatening and scary,” she said. “And with the conservatorship, I couldn’t even get my own attorney. So out of fear, I went ahead and I did the tour.”

Britney Spears recently spent Christmas with her son

In Federline’s recent memoir, he delved into Spears’ allegedly strained relationship with her two sons. Spears herself said that she has begged them to be a part of her life.

“I have always pleaded and screamed to have a life with my boys,” she wrote on Instagram. “Relationships with teenage boys is complex. I have felt demoralized by this situation and have always asked and almost begged for them to be a part of my life.”

This Christmas, however, she spent the holiday with Jayden.

“Britney had a fun time celebrating Christmas with Jayden — it’s been such a special holiday,” a source told People.

The source noted that Spears has enjoyed spending time with her son.
