Brooklyn Beckham Says His Parents Tried to ‘Ruin’ His Relationship With Nicola Peltz-Beckham

After years of rumors, Brooklyn Beckham posted a bombshell statement about his relationship with his parents. He noted that he does not want a relationship with David and Victoria Beckham and described their behavior as controlling. He also claimed that they have tried to derail his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz-Beckham.

Brooklyn Beckham claimed his parents wanted to ruin his relationship

In a recent post to his Instagram Story, Brooklyn confirmed years of rumors that said he was at odds with his parents. He accused them of trying to ruin his relationship with Peltz-Beckham in the lead-up to their wedding.

“My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped,” he wrote. “My mum cancelled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress.”

He claimed that his parents tried to get him to sign away the rights to his name. During wedding planning, he said Victoria called him “evil” over the seating arrangements. Brooklyn added that members of his family spoke badly about Peltz-Beckham on the night before the ceremony.

“The night before our wedding, members of my family told me that Nicola was ‘not blood’ and ‘not family,’” he wrote. “Since the moment I started standing up for myself with my family, I’ve received endless attacks from my parents, both privately and publicly, that were sent to the press on their orders.”

He noted that the dynamic did not improve after his wedding.

“My wife has been consistently disrespected by my family, no matter how hard we’ve tried to come together as one,” he wrote. “My mum has repeatedly invited women from my past into our lives that were clearly intended to make us both uncomfortable.”

Brooklyn Beckham said he doesn’t want a relationship with his parents 

David and Victoria have reportedly sought to repair their relationship with Brooklyn. He stated that he has no interest in rebuilding their relationship.

“I do not want to reconcile with my family,” he wrote, adding, “I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life. For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.”

Brooklyn concluded his statement by saying he wants privacy moving forward.

He previously denied rumors of family strife

While rumors of Beckham family drama have circulated for years, Brooklyn previously denied any problems with his parents. He said he tried to ignore reports of a feud.

“I’ve learned they’re always going to try to write stuff like that,” he told Variety in 2022. “They’re always going to try and put people down. But everyone gets along, which is good.”

Brooklyn appears to also be at odds with his younger siblings.
