The drama between David, Victoria, and Brooklyn Beckham has continued into 2026. The celebrity couple and their eldest son have reportedly been estranged from each other. According to sources, Brooklyn sent his parents a legal notice requesting that they only contact him through lawyers. David and Victoria have reportedly tried to reestablish contact with him on multiple occasions.

David and Victoria Beckham reportedly want to get back on good terms with their son

David and Victoria have reportedly sought to mend the rift in the Beckham family.

“David and Victoria have repeatedly asked Brooklyn and Nicola to meet and talk in order to move forward,” a source told People, adding, “David loves his kids. They are his everything.”

The source added that David “of course invited Brooklyn and Nicola [to his knighting and after-gathering]. They have always been invited to all family occasions or events whether private or public.”

Brooklyn, however, reportedly wants all contact with his parents to go through lawyers. The Daily Mail reported that he sent them a legal letter requesting that they cease contacting him or posting about him on social media.

“It had been leading to issues with his mental health….it was to protect himself,” a source said.

Brooklyn reportedly wants any potential reconciliation to happen “privately,” not on social media.

Brooklyn Beckham is reportedly uninterested in having a relationship with David and Victoria

While David and Victoria are holding out hope for a reunion with their son, Brooklyn reportedly wants distance from his parents.

“Brooklyn has no interest in mending things at this time,” a source told Us Weekly. “He’s really focused on living a peaceful, drama-free life with Nicola [Peltz]. They’ve built their own world together and are very content in it. They want to let things settle naturally rather than trying to fix something that still feels tense.”

Brooklyn’s absence from family events, such as Victoria’s documentary and David’s knighting ceremony, has been difficult for the couple.

“It’s been heartbreaking for Victoria and David to not have all their children together during huge press events for the family, like Victoria’s documentary release,” the source said. “It was such a big moment for the family, and she wanted everyone together to celebrate it.”

Cruz Beckham claimed that his brother Brooklyn blocked their parents on Instagram.

The rift reportedly began after the couple’s wedding

The feud between Brooklyn and his parents has reportedly been going on since his wedding to Nicola Peltz. Peltz wore a Valentino wedding dress instead of one designed by her mother-in-law, leading many to speculate that they were feuding.

“I was going to and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realized that her atelier couldn’t do it, so then I had to pick another dress,” Peltz told Variety. “She didn’t say you can’t wear it; I didn’t say I didn’t want to wear it. That’s where it started, and then they ran with that.”

Other sources have claimed that Peltz left the ceremony in tears after singer Marc Anthony dedicated a song to Victoria. At the time, Peltz and the Beckhams denied that there was any bad blood between them.
