Brooks Nader Just Admitted Her Father Encouraged Her to Find a Man with Money
It’s a tough day to be Brooks Nader’s ex-husband; her ex-boyfriend isn’t faring well, either. The swimsuit model and new reality TV star just got really honest about her motivation behind finding a romantic relationship when she was just a teen. Nader admitted her father encouraged her to be a bit of a golddigger. She said her relationship with Billy Haier, whom she went on to marry and divorce, was good for “rent purposes.” She didn’t have anything nice to say about her relationship with professional dancer, Gleb Savchenko, either.

Brooks Nader isn’t coming across all that great on her reality TV show, and a lot of what she is saying in recent interviews has people cringing, too. The Louisiana model sat down with People to discuss her life and her step into reality TV. In the chat, she admitted that she linked up with her ex-husband, Billy Haier, for “rent purposes,” because her father suggested it.
Nader explains that once she left college to pursue a modeling career in New York, her father suggested she find a boyfriend to support her, as he couldn’t fund her aspirations in New York City. She managed to do just that. Nade began dating Billy Haier when she was just 19. She went on to marry the man she describes as her “first” boyfriend in 2019. They announced their split in 2024; they finalized the divorce the following year.
Nader was on a full academic scholarship at Tulane when an internship in New York City changed the course of her life. Originally planning to study finance, Nader changed directions when she was scouted by a modeling agency while in New York City. She dropped out of college and moved to New York. Her sisters followed her to the Big Apple in short order.
Why did Brooks Nader and Bill Haier get divorced?
While Brooks Nader initially suggested her split from Haier was a mutual agreement after they had grown apart, her most recent storytelling suggests it might have been nastier behind the scenes than either is letting on. Haier hasn’t spoken on his split from Nader, but she did claim she simply “matured” and changed during the course of their marriage.
Critics suspect her growing popularity and ability to support herself might have led to the split, and her admission about her motivation to date Haier in the first place seems to support that theory. Regardless, the general public is unlikely to hear more about what really happened. According to Us Weekly, they both signed an NDA during their divorce proceedings. Still, Nader has expressed her discomfort with her family maintaining contact with him. Haier is an advertising executive.
She had some rough things to say about Gleb Savchenko, too
Billy Haier isn’t alone in the burn unit after Brooks Nader’s recent rise to fame. Gleb Savchenko is there with him. Nader and Savchenko dated after her split from Haier. They met on the set of Dancing with the Stars. While the romance was relatively short-lived, their parting was far less amicable than her split from Haier.
Nader accused Savenchenko of cheating on her during the romance. He later accused her of costing him his job on Dancing with the Stars. He denies the claims and has accused Nader of lying. They are no longer in contact, but she still contended that he was “the hottest” man she’d ever seen and that all they did was have sex. While she focused her less-than-kind words in the People interview on Haier, she did say she believed dating Savenchenko was a “waste of time.” She made the admission on Love Thy Nader. Brooks Nader is now dating a tennis pro.
