Browns Quarterback Shedeur Sanders’ House Was Broken Into During His Debut With the Team
Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders made his NFL debut on Nov. 16 in the second half after starter Dillion Gabriel was placed in the concussion protocol. Sanders’ first outing as the signal caller wasn’t anything stellar as the Browns lost to the Baltimore Ravens 23-16.
Things didn’t get any better for Sanders when he got home, as he learned that his house had been broken into while he was playing at Huntington Bank Field.
The Medina County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the incident took place Sunday at his home in Granger Township. At this time, it’s not clear if anything was stolen from Sanders’ home, and no suspects have been identified.
The break-in at the athlete’s residence is the latest in a string of other high-profile players who have had their homes broken into as well including Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
Shedeur Sanders, who is the son of Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, was sacked twice and went 4 of 16 for 47 yards with no touchdowns and one interception for a 13.5 rating in his debut.
He will start again against the Las Vegas Raiders if Gabriel cannot clear concussion protocol.
