Candace Cameron Bure, the actor best known for her work in Full House and Fuller House, doesn’t shy away from an opinion. Over the years, she has stirred up controversy with her conservative Christian views and her thoughts on hot-button topics. She’s once again making waves. This time, it’s because of her thoughts on TV and what she thinks watching horror movies could cause. Candace Cameron Bure recently revealed she thinks watching a horror film can open up a “portal” in your home. The revelation has people talking.

Candace Cameron Bure thinks scary TV shows could open up a ‘portal’

Candace Cameron Bure is afraid of the occult. During a recent episode of her podcast, Candace Cameron Bure Podcast, the former child star revealed she doesn’t allow her family to watch horror movies. That doesn’t seem too strange, right? After all, a lot of people shy away from scary or violent content. Bure’s reasoning for her dislike is somewhat unusual. She’s afraid of the paranormal and thinks the TV can serve as a “portal.”

Bure elaborated further. She said that while her family disagrees with her take, she doesn’t risk watching violent or scary TV or playing similar video games for fear of letting “demonic” spirits come through. She said she actively avoids the entire genre as a way of protecting her spiritual peace, despite understanding all of he filming components that go into creating horror content.

Her children haven’t said whether they agree

While Candace Cameron Bure’s most recent statements have sparked plenty of debate, her own family appears to be sitting this conversation out. Bure’s husband and children haven’t commented, opting not to reveal whether they, too, consider the TV a portal for potentially demonic spirits. If her kids don’t share her feelings, they can watch all the horror flicks they want in their own homes. According to People, all three of her children have flown the nest and no longer live with Bure or her husband, Valeri Bure, a former professional hockey player.
