Cardi B is gearing up for her Little Miss Drama Tour, her first-ever headlining arena tour. The rapper is currently in rehearsals and will play her first shows in February. Cardi has been looking forward to giving fans the tour they’ve been waiting for since she dropped her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, in 2018. She is eager to put on a good show — so much so that she’s gone way over budget.

Cardi B revealed that her tour is over budget

Cardi is just over a month away from her first tour date. Already, she’s gone over budget.

“I’m over a couple of million on my budget tour,” she told fans on an Instagram Live (via Billboard). “We redid the budget, so now it’s just like I gotta go find the f***ing money, or I would have to put some of my own money for things that I want because I went over my budget. I feel like we do the budget every other week and s***.”

She’s likely gone over budget because she wants to give fans the best experience possible. Still, she warned people not to expect a Beyoncé-level show.

“I ain’t no damn Beyoncé, so don’t be expecting any of that,” she said. I don’t got that production money, but b****, I’m gonna give it all I got. I’m working hard, I’m popping it. This tour is catered to BardiGang, and to people who are not even BardiGang but are some type of fan of mine or just wanna have a good time.”

She will play her first show on Feb. 11 in Palm Desert, CA.

Cardi B spoke about getting ready for a tour after having a child

While Cardi released her first album years ago, she has never gone on a headlining tour. She had one planned for Invasion of Privacy, but canceled due to her pregnancy. When she announced her pregnancy months before embarking on her Little Miss Drama Tour, she made sure to tell fans that nothing would stop her from performing.

“Album drops Friday!” she wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “Thank you everybody for the love and support…by the time tour comes I’ll be doing splits, somersaults backflips and handstands I want this really bad and I’m on a very strict plan.. trust me I’m determined to give my fans the best album AND tour experience!!”

Just one week after giving birth to her son, Cardi was back in the gym.

She feels confident that she will give fans a good show

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper recently started rehearsing for her tour. Even before this, she felt confident that she would give fans a good show.

“I know I’m a good performer. Well, am I? No, I’m great. I’m actually really great because I was a stripper,” she told Billboard. “But no, I think my personal tour is not going to be like any other performances that I’ve ever had.”

She’s also studied other performers to see what works. She has high expectations for herself.

“From the aesthetics to the look to even the way I perform, I’m going to be doing things that I don’t normally do, like work out, because I want to be the best,” she said. “I’ve been going to so many different tours. I went to the Madonna show and the Beyoncé show. I can’t perform like Beyoncé, but you can’t half-a** nothing.”
