Cardi B Paused Her Feud With BIA Because of How Poorly Her Album Is Performing
Cardi B has been at odds with a number of people this year, including rapper BIA. Cardi and BIA have been feuding since 2024, and they’ve gone after each other in songs and over social media. On her recent album, Am I the Drama?, Cardi escalated the feud by directly calling out BIA several times. She said that in the light of Bia’s recent album sales, she will give the other artist a break.
Cardi B said she doesn’t want to bully BIA after seeing her album sales
On her song “Pretty & Petty” off her album Am I the Drama?, Cardi takes a direct shot at BIA.
“Name five BIA songs, gun pointin’ to your head / Bow, I’m dead,” she raps.
BIA just released a new set of songs on her debut album BIANCA. Unfortunately, the album failed to reach the Billboard 200, selling only 3,000 units in its first week. In a recent talk with fans on X Spaces, Cardi said she wouldn’t use this against BIA in their feud. She didn’t think it would be fair of her.
“I don’t pick on b****es,” she said, per Billboard. “I don’t wake up every single day like, ‘I’mma pick on this girl ‘cause I can. I just found out BIA’s numbers yesterday. I’m not going to pick on her ‘cause of that s***. Then that’s overkill.”
Cardi B also did not want to release a music video about BIA on her album release day
Cardi also had the opportunity to release the music video for “Pretty & Petty” on the day of BIA’s album release. She said she felt this would be too petty of her.
“This is how I work: I know how stressful it is to put an album out,” she said, per Rolling Stone. “And I know how f***ed up you be in the mind when you put an album out. I feel like if I do a video to ‘Pretty and Petty’ this week, or today… I feel like I would be bullying. And I don’t want to feel like a bully.”
She said that as long as BIA didn’t mention her in her album, she wouldn’t respond during her album release week.
“When I bully, God takes from me. If the b**** ain’t messing with me, and didn’t sub me in her dusty a** album, I’m not gonna do a video reciting her diss track and s*** like that on a day I know she stressed,” Cardi said. “Because then, I know God will punish me.”
BIA said she had no plans to address her feud with Cardi on her album.
She feuded with other artists on the album
BIA is not the only artist Cardi mentioned on her album. On the song “Magnet,” she said she addressed JT. The rapper released several songs about Cardi.
“It’s like Oh, you thought, you thought that I was ignoring you because I was being a good person and a goody goody,” she told Paper Magazine. “I was ignoring you until I couldn’t take it anymore, and I had to show you that I am not the f***ing one.”
She said that while she doesn’t seek out drama, she feels that it finds her. When it does, she struggles to stay out of it.
