Cardi B Revealed the Frightening Reason She Needs 24/7 Security for Her Kids
As of this month, Cardi B is the mother of four kids, three of whom she shares with her ex-husband, Offset. Cardi has said that while she is a strict mother, she wants her kids to have everything they want. Because she’s a celebrity, she also has to take special care to ensure her children’s safety. While detailing the cost of raising her children, Cardi revealed that she needs security to protect her daughter.
Cardi B said she hires security to protect her kids
Cardi and Offset’s divorce has been contentious, with many of their disagreements playing out in public. On X Spaces, Cardi slammed Offset for not financially contributing to their children’s lives even though he was asking for spousal support.
“A whole year straight, you have left me with the kids’ bills,” she said, per Page Six. “Y’all want to know what’s the kids’ bills? Start adding.”
While revealing costs like school, tutors, sports, and a personal chef, Cardi also mentioned that she has round-the-clock security outside her home. Her eldest daughter, Kulture, received threats, and she wanted to do everything she could to protect her.
“Our daughter [Kulture] constantly used to get threats, rape threats, death threats, so I have a security 24 hours in front of my house, which I pay as well,” she said. “And you don’t help with none of it.”
She admitted that she is a strict parent
While Cardi B wants her kids to have whatever they want, she won’t let them do whatever they want. She admitted that she keeps them on a strict schedule because she wants them to be better than her.
“I want you to be smarter than me,” she said on the On Purpose podcast. “I want you to be — not perfect because you cannot make your kids perfect and you don’t want you to put pressure on your kids [to be] perfect — but I want you to be a 100 times better version than me, and I’m gonna [instill] that in you and you’re gonna be mad and you’re gonna be crying, but you’re gonna appreciate that one day because I wish the things that that I put on my kids that somebody put in me when I was younger.”
She added that she wants to make sure her kids have a solid work ethic when they grow up.
Cardi B spoke out about an alleged post from Offset
Cardi recently gave birth to her fourth child and first with boyfriend Stefon Diggs. Shortly after the birth of her son, Offset appeared to post an Instagram story that said, “My kid lol.” Cardi responded with alarm.
“Y’all be thinking it’s so funny and it’s not,” she wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “It’s been over a year and I’m still being harassed and threatened to the point that I feel like my life is in danger.. It’s all fun and games until it’s too late.”
A spokesperson for Offset later denied that the rapper actually made the post.
“Any statements attributed to Offset circulating on social media are completely fabricated,” they told TMZ. “Cardi responded to misinformation, and the situation escalated unnecessarily. Offset has remained supportive of Cardi and genuinely wishes her nothing but the best.”
Cardi B and Offset are still embroiled in messy divorce proceedings.
