Cardi B Welcomed a Baby Boy: She Once Said She Felt ‘Afraid’ to Have a Son
Cardi B recently welcomed her fourth child, a baby boy. While this is her first child with her boyfriend, Stefon Diggs, she has three children with her ex-husband, Offset. Their first child was a daughter, and they welcomed a son three years later. Cardi looked forward to the birth of their daughter, but she admitted she had some reservations about having a son.

On Nov. 13, Cardi revealed that she’d given birth to her baby.
“My life has always been a combination of different chapters and different seasons. My last chapter was the beginning of a new season. Starting over is never easy but it’s been so worth it!” she wrote on Instagram. “I brought new music and a new album to the world! A new baby into my world, and one more reason to be the best version of me, one more reason to love me more than anything else or anyone else so I can continue giving my babies the love and life they deserve.”
While she confirmed she had a boy, she said she is waiting to reveal his name to the public.
“I’m not sharing the name yet,” she said, per E! News. “It’s cute.”
Her other three children are named Kulture, Wave, and Blossom.
Cardi B admitted she felt nervous about having a boy in the past
Cardi got pregnant for the first time shortly after the release of her first album. While she said she felt nervous about the timing, she was happy about it.
“Then, it’s like, ‘Damn, you sent me a baby at 25, the age that I always want to have a kid,’” she told Rolling Stone. “Then I took a gender test and it was a girl. I always wanted a girl.”
She felt a bit more trepidation when, three years later, she learned she was going to have a boy. She admitted she was “always afraid to have boys” as she didn’t grow up with them. Ultimately, though, she was glad to have a son.
“It’s like it’s meant to be. The stars align,” she said. “My kids are the best decisions I ever made.”
Does Stefon Diggs have other children?
Cardi’s new son is her fourth child, and Diggs’ third. In 2016, he welcomed his first child, a daughter named Nova. Her mother has not been publicly identified.
In April 2025, model Aileen Lopera gave birth to Diggs’ second child, a daughter named Charliee Harper. In late 2024, she filed documents naming the NFL player as the father of her child, though he contested this and asked for a paternity test. This month, Lopera’s lawyer, Tamar G. Arminak, confirmed that Diggs is the father.
“We can confirm that Mr. Diggs is the father,” Arminak told People. “And, we are hopeful he that he will meaningfully contribute to the child’s life and coparent with our client who has had to do everything on her own thus far.”
Just days after this, Cardi gave birth to their son.
