Cardi B’s Robot Lap Dance Is Giving People ‘Second Hand Embarrassment’
Ahead of the Super Bowl, Cardi B entertained fans by dancing with a robot near her San Francisco hotel. As the rapper playfully danced with the humanoid robot, she lost her balance and sent them both tumbling over. While many people laughed at her antics, other people couldn’t help but cringe.
Cardi B fell while dancing with a robot
On Feb. 7, Cardi was in San Francisco for the Fanatics Super Bowl Party. While walking out of her hotel, she spotted a humanoid robot and began to dance on it.
“Get away from my man,” she joked.
In a video obtained by TMZ, she appeared to lose balance due to her high heels, and she toppled backwards, taking the robot with her. Onlookers rushed to help her.
“Delete or I will sue …immediately,” she wrote in the comments of the video, adding, “I’m calling Harvey [Levin]!”
Cardi B’s interaction with the robot is making some people cringe
While the fall likely embarrassed Cardi, some people found the dance itself embarrassing.
“This was embarrassing even before the robot fell, why is she sexy dancing on a robot, is this supposed to be promotional for the robot company?” one Reddit user wrote.
“I’m getting second-hand embarrassment from this,” added another person.
Some felt that the fall was actually the least embarrassing part of the video. The dance was more cringeworthy to some.
“You have to see the full video, the dance goes on for sooo long before she falls,” one person wrote. “The robot did her a favor honestly lol.”
Still, many people found the video funny and appreciated the fact that Cardi didn’t seem to let the fall faze her.
“Lmaooo she took it in stride,” wrote one person. “Nothing can embarrass my girl.”
She reportedly ended things with boyfriend Stefon Diggs ahead of the Super Bowl
Cardi’s dance with the robot came just one day before people began to suspect she was going through relationship problems with Stefon Diggs. The wide receiver played in the Super Bowl against the Seattle Seahawks. When asked if she had any inspirational words for him ahead of the game, she responded with an unenthusiastic, “Good luck.” After the game, people also noted that she and Diggs were no longer following each other on Instagram.
Cardi and Diggs were first linked in late 2024, and they welcomed a son in November 2025. Just two weeks before the Super Bowl, she excitedly supported him at the AFC Championship Game. At this point, they have not commented on the state of their relationship.
