Cassie Ventura Says Diddy Made ‘Sex Acts’ Her ‘Full-Time Job’ in Letter to the Judge
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs will be sentenced on two counts of violating the Mann Act on October 3. The sentencing is months in the making, with his defense team spending countless hours trying to get the disgraced rap mogul a new trial. Now that sentencing is moving forward, they have switched gears, hoping to keep Diddy’s sentence so light that he could walk free with time served. Cassie Ventura would rather not see that happen. She penned a deeply personal letter to Judge Arun Subramanian, explaining why Diddy should remain in jail for as long as possible. Her letter reiterated that Diddy treated her as a sex slave, making depraved sex acts her “full-time job.”
Cassie Ventura asks Judge Subramanian to consider her harrowing experience when sentencing Diddy
Cassie Ventura served as the prosecution’s star witness against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs at his sex trafficking and racketeering trial over the summer. While her compelling testimony painted a picture of a deeply troubled and depraved man, it wasn’t enough for the jury to agree that Diddy trafficked people. Countless witness testimonies didn’t prove the prosecution’s claims of racketeering, either. Ventura isn’t going to let it end there, though. While the prosecution’s case wasn’t strong enough to secure a guilty verdict on the most serious charges, Diddy was found guilty on two counts. Ventura is hoping it’s enough to bring justice.
Ahead of Diddy’s sentencing, Cassie Ventura penned an impassioned letter to the judge sentencing. The letter’s contents reiterated just how badly she suffered at Diddy’s hands. Venture explained she fears he’s just as capable of victimizing more women if released quickly. Ventura pointed out that during her relationship with Diddy, he turned ‘sex acts’ into her ‘full-time job.” She doesn’t seem convinced he won’t do it again to another woman, if given he opportunity. She went on to argue that the abusive and manipulative man she knew isn’t gone. Ventura believes that manipulation and aggression are simply in his nature. She argues that those character traits make him dangerous to the public.
For weeks, Diddy’s legal team has insisted that the rapper had turned over a new leaf. They allege his time behind bars taught him just how troubling and abusive his behavior had been. Ahead of his hearing, Combs claimed that he is a changed man who has helped inmates with business issues. According to PBS, Diddy also claims he hopes to mentor abusers once out of prison. Whether Judge Subramanian believes that will likely factor into his sentence.
The prosecution and the defense are seeking very different sentences
Ventura’s letter is just one of several that have been written asking the judge to seriously consider handing down a significant sentence. If the defense has its way, the rap mogul will walk out of federal prison a free man before the year is up. According to AP News, Diddy’s legal team has requested no more than 14 months of prison time. Diddy was arrested in September 2024, meaning he’s spent more than 12 months behind bars already. If the defense gets its way, Diddy would be home for the holidays. His family penned letters in his defense.
The prosecution is seeking a significantly heavier sentence. They’ve requested Judge Subramanain consider a sentence exceeding 11 years for Diddy’s prostitution activities. Each violation of the Mann Act carries a maximum sentence of 10 years behind bars.
