Chris Noth Wants Everyone To Stop Talking About His Rumored Feud with Sarah Jessica Parker
Several days ago, Chris Noth created a whole lot of drama on Instagram with one simple word. A reply of “right” to a comment about Sarah Jessica Parker has been interpreted as a major slight to his former on-screen love. While Noth let the drama swirl for a few days, he’s finally issued a statement, and he would like everyone to simmer down. He isn’t suggesting he and SJP are good friends again, though.

Chris Noth was fired from The Equalizer and cut out of scenes in And Just Like That… when sexual assault allegations were made against him in 2021. Since then, he’s been keeping a low profile. While he occasionally shares uploads on Instagram, they don’t get much attention. A comment he made earlier this week has lots of eyes on it, though.
On January 9, Chris Noth shared a picture of himself in the gym with the caption “F&@k new years – LETS GO!!!!” A fan left a comment, “You mean f— sjp & her award right? lol.” Noth replied, “Right,” and went about his day. He may have meant it dismissively toward the commenter, but fans were quick to assume he was agreeing and to verify that there was a feud between himself and his former co-star and friend.

Either way, he’s done now and has returned to issue a statement about his “off-the-cuff” and “sarcastic” comment. In a new Instagram post, Noth wrote, “My off-the-cuff, slightly sarcastic response to a comment on the internet seems to have caused a tempest in a teapot. It is not news. It is not worth all this discussion.” Noth concluded the statement by saying, “It is a waste of time in a world where there are more important things to worry about.” The caption was added to a new headshot of the 71-year-old actor, looking healthier and slimmer than he looked when the sexual assault allegations came to light.
Noth has also deleted the thread that set the Sex and the City fandom ablaze just a few days ago. Noth’s comment advised people to worry about more important things. Still, fans were quick to note that Noth didn’t issue an apology to Parker. He didn’t suggest he and his former on-screen love were even on speaking terms. While Noth and Parker were believed to have been friends prior to the allegations, their relationship has clearly cooled significantly. It looks like it will be staying icy. Sarah Jessica Parker never commented on the situation.
