Christian Combs Insists 50 Cent is Just Mad About Diddy Dating Daphne Joy
50 Cent has been very busy reminding everyone that he really dislikes Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. While Diddy stayed mostly silent on the feud while he was a free man, his son has decided he’s going to pick up his father’s end in his absence. As Diddy serves his term at Fort Dix, his son, Christian Combs, is feuding with 50 Cent on social media. In his most recent rant, the younger Combs claimed 50 Cent’s distaste for his dad all boils down to his feelings for Daphne Joy, his ex-girlfriend who went on to date Diddy. 50 Cent insists the feud has nothing to do with Daphne and goes back years before he ever met her.

Christian Combs is the most outspoken of Diddy’s kids since his arrest. Not only is he insistent that his father is innocent, but he’s opted to take over the feuds his father had going when he left for jail. His main focus has been on 50 Cent. Over the last several months, Christian Comes has made comments about 50 Cent, but his most recent ones feel the most inflammatory.
Over the weekend, a clip of Christian Combs performing at a concert made its wa to social media. In the clip, the younger Combs tries to get the crowd to participate in a “Bad Boys” chant. It went absolutely nowhere, with the crowd nearly silent. 50 Cent, as is typical, didn’t miss a chance to troll a member of the Combs family. He shared the clip to his own Instagram, joking that King Combs’ timing was just off.
The hip-hop artist popped up in the comments section and took a swipe at 50 Cent. He suggested that the “Senior Citizen,” 50 Cent, was so angry and continuously posting about the Combs’ family because of his feelings about his son’s mother. In short, Christian Combs is suggesting 50 Cent’s entire feud is over Daphne Joy. She dated Diddy years after her split from 50.
Is Daphne Joy really the reason 50 Cent hates Diddy?
While Combs is right that 50 Cent has a history with Daphne Joy, there is plenty of evidence to back up 50’s claim that his feelings about Diddy stretch back years, long before he ever linked up with Daphne Joy. 50 Cent first referenced feeling uncomfortable around the rap mogul in the early 2000s.
In 2005, he criticized how Diddy ran his record label. In 2006, he suggested Diddy was involved in the death of Notorious B.I.G. in a diss track he released. The track is considered the formal jumping-off point of a feud. Over the years, 50 Cent has been critical of how Diddy treats younger rappers. He’s made negative remarks about his parties and his general vibe many times. 50 Cent even questioned Diddy’s sexual interests years before his arrest. It all happened before Diddy ever laid eyes on Daphne Joy.
50 Cent and Daphne Joy linked up in 2011. The pair dated pretty steadily through that year, but split in 2012, a few months after their son, Sire, was born. Almost 10 years later, in 2021, Daphne Joy was spotted spending time with Diddy. The pair appeared to become an item in 2021 and dated until Diddy’s legal drama began to unfold in 2024. While Daphne Joy did not publicly testify against Diddy, reports suggest she may have been the anonymous witness who spent hours on the stand towards the end of the troubled mogul’s trial.
