The Norris family did not address the rumors specifically, but the actor was no stranger to hoaxes. In the wake of his death, several reports have surfaced suggesting the martial artist had significant health battles that were kept private. Additional content suggested familial strife. Many of the unverified reports were posted to social media.
This is not the first time Chuck Norris has been at the center of false or unverified reports. In 2020, for example, it was reported that the iconic black belt had died of COVID-19 at the age of 80. That was, obviously, untrue. In 2021, reports indicated he was present at the Capitol Riots on January 6. Norris was not actually in the area.

According to TMZ, Norris had worked out the day before and had spoken to a close friend. There was no indication that anything was wrong.
