CPS Investigates Jenelle Evans After Hard Partying and Jace’s Texts Paint a Grim Picture
Jenelle Evans may have moved states, but it appears she can’t evade CPS forever. The mother of three is having a rough month, and it just keeps getting worse. So far, she has spent the early part of the month battling online with David Eason’s new girlfriend. Now, she’s trying to explain away Jace Evans’ calling her unstable. The former Teen Mom 2 star also apparently has an open CPS investigation to contend with. Child Protective Services allegedly got involved recently, and it looks like Evans’ recent hard-partying antics, all of which are documented on Instagram, have something to do with it.
CPS was called on Jenelle Evans again
Jenelle Evans is being investigated by Child Protective Services after she spent the last several weeks traveling and partying without her kids, claims the U.S. Sun. The publication spoke to an insider who claims someone close to the Evans family notified CPS of potential neglect after the former Teen Mom 2 star left her younger children in the care of her eldest child to hit the clubs multiple times. While it’s legal to leave younger children in the care of a teen, it doesn’t sound like Jace, now 16, is a willing babysitter. The teenager recently leaked a series of texts and insisted he needed to return to North Carolina. According to the insider, this has become a pattern with Evans.
Social media backs up the claims that Evans is consistently hitting the clubs instead of spending time with her kids. She documented a cross-country road trip earlier this month. The mother of three, sans her children, traveled to North Carolina to drive back to Vegas with her friend, Tori Rhyne. Since Rhyne landed in Vegas with Evans, they’ve been hitting all of the nightspots. Evans has documented multiple red carpet events and nightclub parties in recent days.
Rhyne is reportedly living with the Evans family in their rented Las Vegas home. It’s unclear if that’s a long-term living situation or if Rhyne is staying with the family temporarily. She has no children and works as a model on OnlyFans.
The government agency has been involved in her parenting before
While news of the alleged CPS investigation is troubling, Jenelle Evans is no stranger to the department. She has had several run-ins with the agency while living in North Carolina and is rumored to have been investigated by the department after her move to Nevada as well.
Barbara Evans took over the care of Jace Evans when he was still an infant due to Jenelle’s neglect. Evans was more focused on partying than caring for an infant. To prevent Jace from being placed in foster care, Barbara stepped forward. She retained custody of the now-16-year-old until 2023. CPS was reportedly heavily involved in the case.
In 2019, Evans was investigated by CPS after her then-husband, David Eason, shot and killed the family dog while the kids were at home. All children in the home, including Ensley Eason, Kaiser Griffith, and Maryssa Eason, were removed. A court battle ensued, but the children were eventually returned to their parents. Maryssa Eason is David Eason’s daughter from a previous relationship.
CPS was once again involved with the family in 2023 when David Eason physically attacked Jace Evans, just six months after Evans regained custody of the teen. Jace was removed from the home, but ultimately returned to Evans after she separated from David Eason.
Rumors swirled that CPS has been in touch with the family in Las Vegas more than once
Rumors also swirled that CPS was involved with Kaiser Griffith in 2024 after an incident at his Las Vegas school. The rumors gained steam when Evans flew the 10-year-old to Tennessee to live with his paternal grandmother. After news of his move broke, she pulled him back to Vegas.
It’s unclear if CPS is considering removing the children from the home. Currently, Jace Evans, Kaiser Griffith, and Ensley Eason all live with Jenelle Evans. Jace’s father is largely unknown to him. Kaiser’s father, Nathan Griffith, is currently incarcerated. Ensley’s father, David Eason, has failed to submit a psychological evaluation to the courts that would allow him to access his visitation rights.
