While Cristiano Ronaldo works his way back on the pitch after a muscle injury and gears up for the World Cup this summer, his fiancée, Georgina Rodriguez, has continued to focus on her modeling career and other projects following three seasons of her popular Netflix docuseries I Am Georgina.

As Ronaldo is nearing the end of his soccer career, even confirming that the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be his last, some are wondering if he may be thinking about taking a page out of Rodriguez’s book and doing a docuseries. Or did he indicate other plans with one of his recent ventures?

In 2025, Ronaldo launched a movie studio, UR-Marv, with British filmmaker Matthew Vaughn, marking a “new chapter” for him to step into the film industry. So does that mean he’ll be working behind the cameras or is he looking to star in a film or reality series like Rodriguez?

Those questions were posed to former US Men’s National Team (USMNT) goalkeeper, Kasey Keller, who is widely regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in U.S. history and had a successful career in Europe.

Speaking on behalf of Jackpot City Casino, Keller told Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “Could Cristiano Ronaldo make a Netflix documentary with Georgina? He definitely could do that. Clearly, he’ll have options to do different things. If you look at the personalities between Ronaldo and [Lionel] Messi, Messi was more behind the scenes and Ronaldo was front and center. I’ll be interested to see what he does in Portuguese, in English, what kind of role he takes.

“Because he also doesn’t seem to have that personality where he’ll just go and hang out somewhere. Doesn’t he feel like that person that still wants to be doing something? What that role is, when you’re that big and that massive, I don’t see him coaching, I don’t see him being a general manager or being a sport director.”

The USMNT legend was also asked if he thinks Ronaldo will be thinking about a career in Hollywood when he’s in the U.S. for the World Cup this summer.

“I don’t think Ronaldo is too worried about that. If he was going to do that, he would have done that instead of going to Saudi Arabia,” Keller opined. “Look, I get it, Saudi was crazy, you know and it has worked out really well for him.

“I think he is really one injury away from retiring, honestly. Yes, does he want to score 1000 goals, of course he does. But I don’t know if he wants to go into an MLS system at 41 or 42, travel all around the country, just for what? It’s Cristiano Ronaldo, if he wants to jump into a movie, he’ll jump into a movie.”

Keller concluded, “Talk about the dedication, staying at the top for as long as you definitely can, the fitness that he puts on himself, yeah I’ll be interested to see when he realizes it’s over and he makes that decision — does he take a breath or does he not have that in his DNA? When he takes a breath, does he say I don’t want to do that anymore? I don’t know if he can.

“Then he has to figure out what makes the most sense for his time as money won’t be an issue. Then it’s about how do you dedicate the commitment of time to make it worth your while. What that is, is a big question — because what is that? What do you do?”
