Cristiano Ronaldo is more than just one of the greatest soccer stars to ever step on the pitch. He’s also a businessman.

Some of Ronaldo’s other business ventures include his own clothing and lifestyle line. His CR7 brand includes clothes, shoes, fragrances, underwear, and other daily wear. He also started his Pestana CR7 Hotels. Launched in Portugal, the hotels have since expanded to Spain, New York, and Morocco.

In addition, the Al-Nassr forward opened gyms throughout Portugal and Spain that promote fitness using his training style and workout plans. And he owns part of Insparya, a medical group that focuses on hair treatments and transplants.

In 2025, Ronaldo launched a movie studio, UR-Marv, with British filmmaker Matthew Vaughn. He explained that the project marked a “new chapter” for him to step into the film industry.

Someone who is totally onboard with Ronaldo dabbing in Hollywood and acting in the near future is his former Manchester United teammate, Giuseppe Rossi.

Speaking on behalf of OLBG, Rossi told Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “[Ronaldo] is made for LA. He’d be perfect for LA. I think he has the aura. He’s got the fans. I think it would be an easy transition for him.

“He likes the spotlight so why not take advantage of it and go into a world that’s kind of similar to professional sports and see how it goes. I’m very curious to see him as an actor. He would definitely be the villain in something. Let’s make him the Joker in the next Batman.”

Professor of Applied Sport Finance and Head of Executive Education at UCFB, Dr. Rob Wilson agrees, telling Action Network, he could see Ronaldo leaving Saudi Arabia to pursue a future career in acting.

“[Ronaldo]’s certainly pretty enough and iconic,” Dr. Wilson said, adding, “Global movie and entertainment stars earn plenty more than sports stars so that would be an interesting move. Ronaldo is a smart guy so if he could make a move out to California, score a few goals for San Diego and then transition into starring in Hollywood blockbusters. That would be a reason to leave Saudi Arabia for the States.”

Actors who have played the Joker in the Batman movies include A-lister Jack Nicholson, who took on the role of the Joker in Tim Burton’s 1989 flick, and Heath Ledger, who won a posthumous Supporting Actor Oscar for playing Joker in Christopher Nolan’s 2008 film.
