The investigation into how the missing teen found inside D4vd’s impounded Tesla, Celeste Rivas, died continues. As the LAPD searches for answers, online sleuths have spent hours trying to track down any and all links between D4vd and the deceased 15-year-old girl. D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, has not been arrested nor has he been named a person of interest. Still, police searching a property linked to him and his connection to the vehicle have changed his plans for the foreseeable future. The release of his new music has been halted, and D4vd has canceled his remaining U.S. tour dates. Is his international leg also canceled?

D4vd has canceled all remaining domestic tour dates

While Riva’s body was found inside the trunk of a Tesla registered to D4vd on September 9, he did not immediately stop touring. In fact, he played a show on the same night as the discovery; the Minneapolis show’s curtain call was hours after police located the body and had informed D4vd. Several media outlets claim D4vd was cooperating with the investigation. Still, he didn’t stop his tour, nor did the police ask him to. In fact, he didn’t cancel a show until the remains were identified as belonging to Rivas.

The first show to be canceled was a show on September 17 in Seattle. The cancellation came the same night as the victim’s identity was made public. It was supposed to be the artist’s second evening in the city. Following his time in Seattle, D4vd was scheduled to head back to California to complete the domestic leg of his tour. His final concert dates, slated for September 19 and September 20, were set to take place in San Francisco and Los Angeles. He won’t be playing those shows, and it is unclear exactly where he is at the moment.

Is the international leg canceled, too?

The remaining shows in the domestic leg of D4vd’s Withered tour have been canceled. Still, he’s yet to make an official statement about the international leg of his journey. D4vd only had a couple of shows left in the domestic leg of his tour when police identified the remains found inside his trunk. He was set to head to Europe for a series of international events later this month. The tour was set to kick off with a show on October 1 in Norway.

That won’t be happening, it seems. D4vd’s management hasn’t commented on the fate of the international leg of his tour. However, Ticketmaster is no longer selling tickets to several of the planned concerts. According to CNN, a handful of tour dates, inexplicably, remain on the ticket purveyor’s site. That is likely to change soon, though.

There has been additional fallout since the discovery

A disrupted tour isn’t the only fallout of the gruesome discovery. As the LAPD continues to investigate the teens’ death, celebrities and the music industry as a whole are working to distance themselves from the 20-year-old artist. Several music artists have opted to unfollow D4vd following the discovery, and others have decided to pull collaborations with D4vd from streaming platforms. While his connection to the teen remains unclear, the situation is far too serious to take a wait-and-see approach with.

Interscope Records feels the same way. The record label has also made a significant statement by halting the release of the artist’s deluxe record. The release was scheduled for September 19. All promotion of D4vd’s music has been paused, as well. D4vd signed with Interscope in 2022.
