Daisy Kent helped make the season finale of Joey Graziadei’s season of The Bachelor a bit dramatic. Kent opted out of the finale, insisting that she knew Kelsey Anderson was the one for him. For a while following the end of The Bachelor, fans and potential contestants wondered if Kent would appear to lead the next season of The Bachelorette. She did not. Jenn Tran took the lead role, and Kent found love again pretty quickly without the prying eyes of TV cameras. The romance seems to be built to last. Daisy Kent has announced that she is engaged.

Thor Herbst and Daisy Kent announce their engagement

Daisy Kent is getting married; The Bachelor alum has announced her engagement to her longtime beau, Thor Herbst. Kent and Herbst announced their engagement via Instagram with a series of gorgeous photos. Herbst, an off-road desert-racing driver, popped the question while on vacation with Kent. The proposal took place in Tuscany. In the days leading up to the big moment, Kent was using social media to garner suggestions from followers on what to do while in Tuscany.  It seems Daisy Kent had no idea she’d be getting engaged during the trip.

Bachelor Nation alums love love, even if that love isn’t found on screen. Shortly after her Instagram announcement, franchise alums flooded in to congratulate the pair on their engagement. Kelsey Anderson, Jenn Tran, and Lexi Young all slid into the comments section to offer their heartfelt congratulations. All three women appeared with Kent on The Bachelor. Spencer Conley, Jess Edwards, and Kathy Swarts, who all appeared on the most recent season of Bachelor in Paradise, also brought well-wishes. There were plenty of other alumni who were thrilled to hear the news, too.

Daisy Kent knew her fiancé before signing up for the dating competition

The engagement announcement doesn’t come as much of a surprise to fans who have been following Daisy Kent’s story. She and her fiancé appear perfectly suited to each other, and their love story is actually rather sweet. The pair knew each other long before Kent signed up for The Bachelor.

Herbst and Kent actually met as college students back in 2020 and even briefly dated. Kent told the outlet that their romance was short-lived, and neither was looking for anything serious at the time. Still, they remained friends.
