Paul recently filed a protective order against Mortensen, several weeks after he filed one against her. In her filing, she said that as recently as February, he sent her text messages saying things like “I want you forever,” “I still love and want you,” and asking her to “give me a chance.”
On Feb. 17, she said she learned he had tattooed her initials on the inside of his lip.
“Considering his increasingly possessive and erratic behavior, and considering the fact that we were not in a relationship, this was extremely alarming,” she wrote, per People. “My initials are now permanently tattooed on the body of a man who has been abusive toward and possessive of me.”
Mortensen himself admitted that he had not moved on from his former girlfriend.
“I never have moved on from Taylor and I was just waiting for her,” he said on Unwell Winter Games. “I was like, maybe I’ll have a chance. … I found out she was talking to another guy, hooked up with him, then hooked up with me.”
Paul said that she told Mortensen that their relationship is permanently over.
