The Beckham family won’t be squashing their beef ahead of the new year. It looks like David and Victoria, and Brooklyn Beckham will be heading into the new year no-contact. Social media movements for David and Victoria Beckham and their eldest son suggest there have been further bitter developments in the family feud that began many months ago, signaling further estrangement rather than reconciliation. Here is everything we know so far.

David and Victoria Beckham are no longer following Brooklyn Beckham

The Beckham family’s longstanding feud will continue into 2026 because the family just went on a bit of an unfollowing spree. David and Victoria Bekcham are no longer following their eldest son, Brooklyn, on Instagram. While it was initially unclear who unfollowed whom or if Brooklyn blocked his entire immediate family, leading to him dropping off their following list, Cruz Beckham is now setting the record straight. According to E! News, he took to his own Instagram Stories to swat down reports that his parents started the unfollowing spree. He claims the family woke up blocked.

The Beckhams have been feuding with Brooklyn for what feels like forever. The first sign of trouble came in 2022 when Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, moved from the United Kingdom to the United States, where Peltz’s family is based. There were apparently issues in the lead-up to the couple’s nuptials, with Victoria Beckham reportedly angered by her daughter-in-law choosing a Valentino gown over one of her own designs.

Things appeared quiet, if not a bit distant, until 2025, when Brooklyn and Nicola were no-shows at David Beckham’s 50th birthday. The Beckham family didn’t score an invite to a vow renewal either. The estrangement grew more obvious as 2025 progressed, and it looks like things are going to get worse in the new year.

Brooklyn Beckham has dropped the entire family from his follow list

While it is unclear exactly how things happened, Cruz Beckham insists the entire family has been cut from social media. Based on Brooklyn’s current social media activity, it tracks. Brooklyn Beckham didn’t just unfollow his parents; he unfollowed everyone in his immediate family. He is no longer following his brothers, Cruz and Romeo Beckham. He isn’t following his little sister either, whose account remains private.

In an interesting turn, he hasn’t iced out his extended family. The entrepreneur is still following his paternal grandparents and both of his paternal aunts. He is also following his maternal grandmother and one of his maternal aunts. A couple of cousins appear to have made the cut, too.

It is unclear who initiated the social media blackout, but Brooklyn doesn’t seem the least bit bothered by his estrangement from his parents or his siblings. In the days since the slimmed-down Instagram following list was noticed, Brooklyn has been carrying on as usual. He’s been active on the platform, sharing cooking videos and celebrating Hanukkah. Brooklyn is said to have grown extremely close to his in-laws, including his father-in-law, Nelson Peltz. His wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, has remained quiet amid the Beckham family rift, though she’s been lambasted by David and Victoria Beckham’s fans on her own social media accounts.
