David Beckham Sends Message to Marc Anthony After Brooklyn Beckham’s Bombshell Wedding Revelations
Unless you’ve been living under a rock lately, you know that Brooklyn Beckham has broken his silence on his family feud in a series of scathing posts calling out his famous parents, David and Victoria Beckham.
On Jan. 20, Brooklyn took to his Instagram Stories and claimed that he and his wife, Nicola Peltz, were left humiliated on their wedding day by his mother’s actions. He mentioned singer Marc Anthony, who performed at the reception, and said that he believed he and Peltz were going to have their first dance to a “romantic” song by Anthony, but that didn’t happen.
According to Brooklyn, “My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned to be my romantic dance with my wife, which had been planned for weeks in advance to a romantic love song. In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead. She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.”
Fat Tony, who DJed the event, added some context to Brooklyn’s statement and backed up what he said, putting blame on Anthony as well.
The DJ recalled Anthony asking for the “most beautiful woman in the room” to come to the dancefloor. While everyone expected the bride to walk up, they were shocked when he called Victoria’s name. Fat Tony believes that the way Posh Spice was brought to the stage was uncomfortable and odd.
Another person who was at the reception gave a similar story, telling People, “Marc Anthony, who is a friend of the Beckhams, offered to perform as a gift at the wedding. Before the song began, Marc Anthony asked Brooklyn to come to the stage, and then announced, ‘The most beautiful woman in the room tonight, come on up … Victoria Beckham!'”
A second source added, “It was such a jaw-dropping moment that it left the whole room in absolute shock — you could hear a pin drop.”
It’s not clear why Anthony called up Victoria with Brooklyn at that moment. Some though have speculated that David and Victoria may have planned that and instructed him to do so.
Anthony has not responded to the claims, but he did reveal some personal news on Instagram and Brooklyn’s father reacted with a message for his friend amid the drama with his son.
The Latin recording artist shared that he and his wife, Nadia Ferreira, are expecting their second child together by posting a photo of the couple’s hands along with their son Marco’s hand over Ferreira’s baby bump.
One of the top comments on the post is from David, who wrote, “Soooooo excited,” followed by a red heart emoji. He then tagged both Marc and Nadia.
The new baby will be Anthony’s eight child.
