David Eason Served with A Restraining Order Again: How Many Has He Had in the Last Decade?
Another romance ends in a restraining order for former Teen Mom 2 love interest, David Eason. While his latest romance seemed to be going fairly well for a while, the ending has been just as dramatic and volatile as his past breakups. This week, Kenleigh Heatwole asked a North Carolina judge to issue a restraining order against David Eason, and they agreed. It is far from his first. In fact, the troubled North Carolina native has multiple active orders of protection taken out against him. He’s had more than a few in the past, indicating a long pattern of very troubling behavior.
Kenleigh Heatwole takes legal action against her ex
Kenleigh Heatwole has officially put an end to any speculation that she’s back together with David Eason. Heatwole, who first linked up with Eason more than a year ago, has been granted an order of protection. According to the Ashley Reality Roundup Group, Heatwole requested that a North Carolina judge issue a restraining order against her former partner. According to the publication, Heatwole revealed that Eason had been menacing towards her following their breakup. She said he regularly contacts her and has even been showing up at the home they used to share at random.
Heatwole did not claim physical abuse by Eason, but did say he had been verbally abusive towards her. Heatwole’s claims appear to align with her recent social media posts. When she first announced the breakup in the first week of September, Heatwole claimed Eason had accused her of cheating on him. She went on to say he wouldn’t provide additional details. She later returned to X (formerly Twitter) to claim that Eason was acting menacingly on a motorcycle outside her home, and, in more recent weeks, suggested he refused to leave her home.
The North Carolina native was served with the paperwork on October 2, though it is unclear where the authorities caught up with him. He took to his Instagram stories to make a not-so-subtle reference to those cheating allegations shortly after being served. It is believed that he may be living on his boat. He lived on the boat immediately after his split from Evans, too.
Jenelle Evans has taken out multiple restraining orders against David Eason
David Eason doesn’t seem to be taking the order particularly seriously. That’s probably because he’s no stranger to the legal process. Jenelle Evans took out multiple restraining orders against David Eason during the course of their very turbulent relationship and marriage. In 2019, she was granted an order of protection against her then-husband following a series of altercations and 911 calls. The order also extended to Evans’ children, including the one she shared with Eason.
Following the split, Evans relocated with her children to Tennessee to escape David. It didn’t last long. By early 2020, Evans and Eason were back together, and the order of protection was lifted. She moved back to North Carolina. The relative peace didn’t last all that long, though. Eason and Evans continued to fight and air their drama on social media.
In 2024, things finally came to an end when Evans filed for a legal separation. She also requested an order of protection against Eason, which was once again granted. The order has been extended multiple times, and Eason even spent the night in jail after he allegedly violated the order by trespassing on the property he once shared with Evans. The violation was later dropped. Heatwole was on hand for the incident. The former couple’s divorce was finalized in August 2025.

Evans’ son, Jace Evans, also has an order of protection in place against David Eason. According to court records, the order stems from a pending criminal case in which Eason is accused of strangling the teenager in a domestic dispute. The incident occurred in late 2023. Jace initially moved with his mother to Las Vegas, but has since returned to North Carolina, where he is staying with his grandmother, Barbara Evans.
He violated an order of protection back in 2016, too
Evans and Heatwole are far from the only women in David Eaosn’s life who think he is a threat to their safety and well-being. His ex-girlfriend, Olivia Leedham, was granted a restraining order against Eason when their relationship ended over a decade ago. The order of protection extended to their then-infant son. In 2016, the troubled father of three was arrested at his home for violating the order. According to the Wilmington Star-News, Eason was arrested after he approached his son in a grocery store and refused requests from the boy’s grandmother to leave him alone. It is unclear if the boy’s mother was on the premises at the time.
It’s unclear exactly when Leedham was granted the order or if it remains active at this time. Eason has no contact with Kaden Eason, his only son. Leedham moved her family to Florida in recent years. She works as a barber and realtor, according to her private Instagram profile.
