Deion Sanders Introduced Karrueche Tran to His Kids as Their ‘Stepmom’
Deion Sanders and Karrueche Tran have finally confirmed what we all knew when they went Instagram official a few days after Christmas.
The NFL legend and the Claws actress sparked dating rumors in February 2025 when they were spotted holding hands in Los Angeles. Then, in July, Tran shared an emotional video just before Deion underwent surgery to remove his bladder and reconstruct a new one after a cancerous tumor was found. But the two continued to stay mum about their relationship, that is until Deion’s son, Shilo, outed them during his vlog on Christmas Eve.
In the video titled “Shilo Sanders Plans for Christmas,” he recalled what his father told him when he introduced him to Tran.
“I remember when I first met Karrueche. Dad said, ‘Say hello to your stepmom!’” Shilo remembered with a laugh. He then revealed that he’s going to interview them together and asked his more than 285,000 subscribers to send in their questions for Deion and his “stepmom.”
One thing Shilo has been wanting to ask is what Tran thought the first time she saw his father’s feet.
“I want to ask her, ‘What did you initially think about my dad’s toes whenever you first met him and seen them?’” he shared.
In 2021, Deion had two toes on his left foot amputated due to blood clots and circulation problems. The issues occurred after a procedure for a dislocated toe, leading to femoral arterial blood clots and compartment syndrome.
In his next video, Shilo was in Texas for Christmas with his family. His dad isn’t there when he first arrives though because he is meeting Tran’s parents.
Later in the video, Shilo opens a Christmas gift from Tran, who is happily cuddled up next to Deion on a staircase. He thanked her for the Fear of God ESSENTIALS swag she gave him.
Two days later, Deion and Tran attended the Cleveland Browns game against the Pittsburgh Steelers to watch Shadeur play, and Deion’s oldest son, Deion Jr., interviewed the couple for his “Well Off Media” YouTube channel.
He asked Tran how her holiday was, to which she replied, “My Christmas was amazing. I got some really great gifts.” Deion injected about her gifts and joked, “Sure did … I got them all on layaway.”
Tran also shared, “I got to spend some quality time with the Sanders family and my family, too.”
“Yeah, we went over to the crib,” Deion added, explaining, “We went over to Prosper (Texas) of all places. That’s where her grandmother lives.”
He and Tran then agreed that they had “a great Christmas together.”
On Dec. 29, Coach Prime and Tran became Instagram official when the former posted a photo of them smiling on his IG Story.
Before Sanders, Tran had a few high-profile relationships, including her four-year roller coaster romance with singer Chris Brown. Sanders, meanwhile, was previously married to Carolyn Chambers from 1989 to 1998, before tying the knot with reality TV star Pilar Sanders, whom he divorced in 2013.
