Who Is Denver Broncos Receiver Courtland Sutton’s Wife, Brea?
After playing his college ball with the Mustangs at Southern Methodist University, Courtland Sutton was selected by the Denver Broncos in the second round of the 2018 NFL draft.
Courtland made the Pro Bowl in 2019, but suffered a season-ending ACL injury the following year. He returned to the field in 2021 and inked a four-year $60.8 million contract extension.
In 2024, behind rookie quarterback Bo Nix, the Broncos made the playoffs for the first time since 2015. Courtland was a big part of the team’s success and in 2025, he was rewarded with a four-year contract extension worth $92 million.

When Courtland and Brea got married
After dating for a while, Courtland proposed to then-Brea Ridgeway on July 25, 2022.
The pair tied the knot nearly a year later at a picturesque destination in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Several of Courtland’s past and current teammates and their wives attended that affair, including Russell Wilson and Ciara, Jerry Jeudy, Bradley Chubb, Brandon McManus, Von Miller, Patrick Surtain II and Kevia Higdon, Tim Patrick, KJ Hamler, Kareem Jackson, Malik Reed, and Albert Okwugenunam.
What Brea does for a living
Brea was born on Nov. 3, 1994, in Parker, Colorado, to her father, former U.S. Marine Charles Ridgeway, and her mother, security administrative service worker Avis Ridgeway.
In 2015, Brea attended North Georgia University for Mass Communication and Media Studies. She later enrolled in Georgia State University and graduated with a degree in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia.
After graduating, Brea worked as a Social Media Coordinator at Ivy Lane in Marietta, Georgia, for a year. She then joined Bello Haven Hair Extensions as a marketing coordinator.
Brea has also done work as a model for The Block Agency, which is based out of Nashville, Tennessee, but also has offices in Austin and Denver, where her husband plays.
