Love Story has renewed an interest in John F. Kennedy Jr. and the ladies he dated. Long before the anthology premiered, Bridget Moynahan was discussing the woman who captured JFK Jr.’s heart for good. In 2021, when the series exploring the couple hadn’t even been conceived, Moynahan revealed she tried to infuse her Sex and the City character with Carolyn Bessette’s energy.

In a chat with Glamour, Moynahan revealed there was absolutely no backstory for her character when she landed the role on Sex and the City. Moynahan was actually only hired for one line. She said she crafted the energy she wanted to bring to Natasha for that one moment. The energy in question was the quiet, dignified energy Carolyn Bessette brought to the table. Monyahan was brought back for additional appearances, and even reprised her role during the controversial reboot And Just Like That…

Moynahan’s character, Natasha Najinsky, married Mr. Big in season 3 of the beloved original series. The character was introduced at the end of season two. She appeared several times during seasons three and four, including after Carrie’s affair with Mr. Big led to a divorce.

Kennedy Jr. Her romance with the famed lawyer occurred years before JFK Jr. met his wife. Parker and JFK Jr. dated for several months in the early 1990s before splitting in 1992.

In the past, Parker has said that the intense media scrutiny surrounding the romance made it difficult for their relationship to continue. She noted that she was often shocked to see what she thought were private moments spread across tabloid pages. JFK Jr. later met Carolyn Bessette through Calvin Klein. They married in 1996. Sarah Jessica Parker met and married Matthew Broderick after her brief courtship with JFK Jr. They wed in 1997.

While Parker has said nothing but nice things about JFK Jr., she is pretty shy about discussing the relationship. In more recent years, she’s explained why she avoids questions about him. In a chat with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live, Parker once said that she doesn’t like talking about JFK Jr. because he is no longer with us. She said she might be more open about their connection had he gotten to live the life she thinks he would have.
