Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ sentencing date for his criminal case is just weeks away. His criminal case wasn’t the only problem he faced after his September 2024 arrest, and it’s not the only issue he needs to clear up.  Diddy not only faced federal charges, but he also had various civil lawsuits filed against them. While his criminal case could be largely considered a “win” for the music producer, he still has numerous civil cases that remain active. Deonte Nash, a stylist who worked with Diddy for a decade, just added one to the pile. He is suing his former employer, alleging sexual abuse among other criminal acts. Deonte Nash’s name probably sounds familiar to those who followed Diddy’s case; he took the stand.

Deonte Nash testified at Diddy’s trial

While Deonte Nash is just now filing a lawsuit against his former boss, those who followed Diddy’s trial closely might find the name familiar. That’s because Nash was one of several employees who testified against Diddy at his sex trafficking trial. According to People, Nash took the stand on the eleventh day of the trial. His testimony bled into day 12. The stylist provided hours of testimony.

Nash mostly testified about Diddy’s treatment of Cassie Ventura. He was working closely with Diddy during parts of their relationship.  Nash recalled an incident in which Diddy dragged Cassie by her hair, striking her repeatedly. He reported that he tried to intervene but was pushed away. He also revealed that Diddy controlled his then-girlfriend with threats of violence and blackmail. His testimony was used to establish Diddy’s influence and control as well as his violent nature. Nash went on to share how employees, including himself, were subjected to violence, as well.

Why is the stylist suing his former employer?

Deonte Nash ended his working relationship with Diddy back in 2018, but he’s just now getting around to filing a lawsuit against him. Nash alleges that he was regularly victimized by his former employer, exposed to violent and troubling scenes, and was harassed during his tenure.

According to CBS News, the 37-page complaint points to incidents of sexual battery, sexual abuse, human trafficking, false imprisonment, and labor trafficking. Nash also accuses his former boss of various forms of physical, mental, and emotional abuse. He claims that even after he left the job, Diddy continued to threaten him.

Nash still works as a stylist in the entertainment industry, but has no connection to Diddy or his companies. Nash’s lawsuit is just the latest of over 80 that have been filed against Combs over the years.
