Most of the testimony heard in Sean’ Diddy’ Combs’ sex trafficking and racketeering case has been hard to hear. Most of the witnesses who have taken the stand have told tales of sexual violence, coercion, intimidation, and debauchery. Ex-girlfriends to employees have all admitted to fearing Diddy. While much of the testimony has been pretty heavy, there have been occasional light moments. During the course of the trial, we learned about Diddy’s unexpected food preferences and a shocking favorite TV show.

Diddy likes to watch ‘Dateline,’ revealed Jane

“Jane,” an ex-girlfriend of the accused who wishes to remain anonymous, has spent days on the witness stand, recounting her troubled relationship with the disgraced rap mogul. She revealed she and Diddy had a “love contract” early in her testimony, and now she’s shared his favorite show. It’s as surprising as his favorite food, which was revealed earlier in the trial.

According to USA Today, Jane testified that Diddy would regularly unwind after “hotel nights” by watching Dateline while receiving foot rubs; it was his favorite TV show. She described it as a kind of ritual. Jane noted that preferences struck her as particularly surreal given the nature of the series. Hotel nights often found Jane submitting to sexual acts she was not interested in, including sex with male escorts.

Dateline is a long-running true crime and investigative journalism series. Narrated by anchors such as Keith Morrison, Andrea Canning, and Dennis Murphy, Dateline is renowned for its dramatic storytelling and suspenseful narration. Over the years, it has covered some of the nation’s most infamous cases. The series worked heavily on the Chris Watts family murders, the Murdaugh family scandal, and the Scott Peterson trial. The investigative series has even now covered Diddy. “Sean Combs on Trial” is a Dateline episode that deals with the event leading up to the music mogul’s trial.

‘Dateline’ isn’t the only ‘ritual’ Diddy had while on the outside

Diddy’s TV preference might seem a bit surprising. It’s difficult to imagine the rap mogul hanging out and watching an investigative series. It’s not the first time we’ve been surprised by a mundane detail about Diddy since the trial began, though. In earlier testimony, multiple witnesses revealed that the mogul had a near-obsession with applesauce.

Last month, multiple witnesses testified that Diddy required apple sauce to be on hand at all times. He was so enamored with the food that he even used it as a condiment on cheeseburgers. While “Jane” didn’t mention his love of apple sauce in her testimony, we can’t help but wonder if the disgraced star ate apple sauce while watching Dateline.
