While Ventura’s testimony in Diddy’s sex trafficking and racketeering trial continues, followers are fixated on the memoir she opened up about while on the stand. The book, which Ventura claims details he abuse she suffered, has not been published. While it is the first time some followers have heard of the non-fiction work, it’s actually been mentioned before. Cassie Ventura discussed her planned book while testifying

This week, Cassie Ventura took the stand to reveal the abuse she alleges Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs put her through. The abuse took place during their 10-year relationship. During her testimony, Ventura seemed to drop a bombshell. She revealed she had written a memoir to process everything she had been through.

Ventura also noted that she hoped Combs would read the book, so that he could better understand the pain he caused her. She described the writing process as “putting everything on paper” for the first time. While Ventura’s revelation shocked some case followers, it’s not the first time the memoir has been mentioned.

While Cassie Ventura’s hypothetical book is being talked about in great detail now, it’s not the first time the manuscript has come up in reference to Diddy and his allegedly criminal behavior. According to TMZ, Diddy’s lawyer, Mark Agnifilo, once claimed Cassie Ventura tried to sell Diddy the rights to the book before she filed a lawsuit against him.

Agnifilo, who is leading Diddy’s defense, once claimed that Ventura’s lawyer contacted Diddy’s legal team before filing a lawsuit against him. Agnifilo claims Cassie’s legal team told Diddy he could squash the book’s publication for $30 million. Diddy reportedly balked. A different lawyer later revealed that a lawsuit would be filed. Cassie has not spoken out about the allegation.

Her lawsuit was the beginning of the end

While Diddy reportedly scoffed at the offer to buy the memoir, he wasn’t laughing after his former partner filed a lawsuit against him. Ventura was the first of dozens of alleged victims to file suit against Diddy. Her filing appears to have led to his eventual downfall.
