Dolores Catania, Sutton Stacke and Kathy Hilton All Made the Same Mistake Ahead of Home Invasions
The ladies of Bravo are really going through it lately. Several Bravo stars have revealed they were victims of home invasions in the last couple of months, and the starlets have a history stretching back years of having their homes burglarized. Dolores Catania was recently the victim of a would-be thief. Catania, who appeared on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, admitted that she made a mistake that compromised her security and may have led to the crime.
Dolores Catnaia was the victim of a burglary in October
Dolores Catania was the first Bravo star to report a break in the last few months. She revealed that a burglar attempted to enter her home in New Jersey in October. Catania and her new fiancé, Paulie Connell, were not at home at the time of the incident.
The couple’s alarm system alerted police, who rushed to the address. According to several reports, the thieves were startled enough by the alarm to take off on foot. They were not apprehended. Understandably, the entire incident left Catania shaken. She recently opened up about it and thinks she’ll remember some safety precautions from now on.
She said she might be to blame for the break-in
While Dolores Catania admitted the situation was scary and could have been much worse, she thinks that she might need to shoulder some of the blame. At the very least, she believes there was one easy way she could have prevented the entire situation. Catania revealed that she thinks the would-be thieves only targeted her townhouse because they knew no one was there. They would have only known that through social media surveillance.
Catania recently discussed the break-in with Ok! Magainze. She revealed that she broke a primary safety rule by posting to Instagram in real-time. She said she feels pretty confident that the burglars used her social media uploads to target the property when no one was home.
The same activity might have played into break-ins at two other stars’ homes in recent weeks. Both Kathy Hilton and Sutton Stracke were victims of burglaries in November while they were away at BravoCon. Their presence at the convention was highly publicized. No one was home at Stracke’s home when the break-in occurred, but Rick Hilton was home when multiple burglars entered the home he shares with his wife, Kathy Hilton. He called 911. No one was hurt in any of the incidents. It is unclear if anything was stolen.
