To celebrate America’s 250th birthday, Donald Trump planned the Great American State Fair, which welcomed a number of artists as performers. Before long, however, most of these artists dropped out of the festival. Trump has since canceled the original festival and announced a new lineup. He recently said that he doesn’t know any of the artists on the original lineup. Despite this, he knows at least one of them personally.

Donald Trump criticizes the artists who dropped out of the Great American State Fair

Martina McBride, Bret Michaels, Morris Day and the Time, Young MC, Fab Morvan of Milli Vanilli, and The Commodores all pulled out of the Great American State Fair. As a result, Trump said he was canceling.

“We don’t want singers with no talent, but big fees to put you to sleep, we’ve told them all to stay home,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “All we want is you, me, a few speakers, and the Greatest Music ever played, the same Music you have listened to for years!”

Now, Lee Greenwood will perform his song “God Bless the USA” to introduce the new headliner: Trump. Opera singer Christopher Macchio and several military bands will also perform.

Trump has repeatedly criticized the original lineup, most of whom say they backed out because they thought it was a nonpartisan event. He claims that he doesn’t know any of the original performers.
