Dorit and PK Kemsley’s divorce looks like it will be taking a complicated turn. The RHOBH couple’s lengthy separation has finally ended with Dorit filing for divorce and pretending PK doesn’t exist. She’ll need to speak to her soon-to-be-ex-husband sooner rather than later, though. According to insiders, Dorit and PK Kemsley are in danger of defaulting on their mortgage, and they’ll need to work it out quickly or risk losing the six-bedroom home.

Dorit Kemsley’s Encino mansion may be in danger

Dorit Kemsley might be in danger of losing her Encino mansion as she navigates divorce proceedings. On May 3, Ronald Richards, an attorney who creates content around famous legal cases, reported via Instagram that Dorit and PK Kemsley could lose their Encinco mansion due to tax issues and problems with an LLC. According to the legal expert, Dorit and PK used an LLC registered to Dorit to purchase the sprawling estate. Due to failure to pay taxes, Adlon Road, LLC is no longer in good standing. The FTB has suspended the LLC, which could be problematic for the Kemsleys’ mortgage.

This is not the first time there have been financing issues with Dorit and PK Kemsley’s Encino mansion. In November 2024, the U.S. Sun reported that Dorit and Kemsley faced potential foreclosure after failing to make several mortgage payments. According to the outlet, the couple owed their lender $300,000 in missed payments. The duo, who were already separated when they fell into default, managed to pay up. This situation might be a bit more complicated, though.

Following the split, Dorit stayed at the home with the two children she shares with PK Kemsley. Initially, PK was also staying at the property, but he later moved to an apartment without consulting his soon-to-be-ex-wife. It’s unclear exactly where he is residing at the moment, though. Dorit said PK’s drinking and travel schedule led to the split.

PK Kemsley has had financial issues in the past

PK has a habit of getting himself into serious financial binds. Despite his alleged business prowess, PK has had financial issues in the past. The pre-foreclosure notice and LLC issues are just two of the more recent problems. The talent manager filed for bankruptcy at least once and owed millions to creditors and back taxes over the years. He owed a Las Vegas casino over $2 million before settling the debt in 2022.

PK’s financial woes are reportedly why the home was put in an LLC in Dorit’s name in the first place. Several sources claim PK would not have qualified for a loan due to judgments against him, several of which went unmanaged until years after they purchased the Encino mansion in question.

It is unclear if Dorit was initially kept in the dark about the seriousness of the housing default situation, or if she downplayed the issue because she was still interested in rekindling things with him. Things might be different now. Dorit is no longer interested in rekindling her romance. It will be interesting to see how she changes her tune going forward, especially regarding finances.
