Liam Hemsworth and Gabriella Brooks recently shared that they are engaged. And as many fans know, this will be the actor‘s second marriage after his first to Miley Cyrus.
Hemsworth and Brooks have been romantically linked since 2019, shortly after Hemsworth filed for divorce from Cyrus. The usually-private couple decided to go Instagram official in 2021. They announced their engagement news on Sept. 12 in an Instagram post with a carousel of photos, including one that showed off the model’s stunning diamond sparkler from her soon-to-be husband.

Miley Cyrus’ ring from Hemsworth
The fine jewelry and diamond experts at the U.K. retailer Steven Stone took a closer look at each ring to determine which fiancée received the more impressive engagement ring from the actor.
First up is Miley’s rock. She and Hemsworth were together for several years before tying the knot in 2018. However, the marriage was over by 2019, and their divorce was finalized the following year.
When it comes to Cyrus’ ring, Maxwell Stone told Showbiz Cheat Sheet: “When Liam proposed to Miley Cyrus in 2012, he did so with a stunning 3.5-carat cushion-cut diamond set in a vintage-inspired solitaire setting. The antique stone was mounted on an 18k yellow-gold band adorned with intricate, old-world detailing — designed by celebrity jeweler Neil Lane.”
Gabriella Brooks’ ring from Hemsworth
When looking at Brooks’ ring, Maxwell said: “Fast forward to 2025, and Gabriella Brooks’ engagement ring from Liam shares some striking similarities. It also features a cushion-cut diamond in a classic solitaire setting, once again paired with a yellow gold band. However, Gabriella’s ring boasts a significantly larger 6-carat stone.”
However, the jewelry expert noted that the Hannah Montana‘s star ring costs more, explaining, “Despite the size difference, Miley’s ring carried a higher price tag. At the time of their engagement, Liam reportedly spent around $250,000 on the piece — equivalent to roughly $385,000 today when adjusted for inflation. In comparison, Gabriella’s ring is estimated to be worth around $200,000.
“The difference comes down to factors like craftsmanship, diamond quality, and the rarity of antique stones. While Gabriella’s ring offers more in terms of carat weight, Miley’s featured a one-of-a-kind antique diamond and bespoke vintage design — elements that significantly increase both value and exclusivity.”
Is Cyrus upset she wasn’t told earlier that her ex-husband is getting married again?
There is a report circulating that after Hemsworth and Brooks shared their happy news, Cyrus wasn’t too thrilled about it because she wasn’t notified prior to the public announcement on social media.
A source told Rob Shuter’s ShuterScoop: “Miley didn’t get a call, a text, nothing. After everything they went through together, she thought she at least deserved a heads-up. Instead, she opened her phone and saw the news just like everyone else.”
That information hasn’t been confirmed, however, and so far Cyrus has not commented publicly on her ex’s engagement.
