Ex-Death Row Security Chief Calls Keffe D a ‘Habitual Liar’ Over Tupac Shakur Murder Accusations
Duane “Keffe D” Davis is going on trial for the 1996 murder of Tupac Shakur. He has previously claimed to have orchestrated the rapper’s death, though he pleaded not guilty to the crime. Instead, he has pointed the finger at former Death Row Records security chief Reggie Wright Jr. Wright called Davis a liar.

Nearly 30 years after Tupac’s death, his alleged killer is going on trial. Davis was a suspect for years, and even publicly admitted to his involvement in the book Compton Street Legend.
Despite this, Davis has pleaded not guilty to murder with the use of a deadly weapon. He said that all of his previous claims were just attempts to sell books. He claimed they were not true.

Ahead of his trial, Davis said that he believes Wright orchestrated Tupac’s murder, and then tried to pin it on him.
“He brought up my name from day one,” Davis told 8 News Now. “He just brought up my name and he basically started bulls***.”
Wright has denied the allegations made against him.
“It’s unfortunate that he wanna bring me into it after all these years cause now I guess he see that his defense is headed downhill,” he said.
In another interview, Wright doubled down on claims that Davis is lying about him. He said that others have said the same thing.
“Had nothing at all to do with this … it’s crazy,” Wright told NewsNation. “A person that all three of his previous attorneys have called him a habitual liar.”
He believes that the truth will eventually come out. For him, this is all that matters.
“Unfortunately, I got to go and deal with this,” he said. “But I don’t mind, because I know we’re going to eventually get justice for Tupac.”
Suge Knight isn’t sure what his defense will be
Suge Knight, who worked with Tupac at Death Row Records, said he doesn’t want anything to do with the trial. Still, he has shared his thoughts on it. He doesn’t think Davis has much of a defense.
“If that’s his defense, he might as well go out with a bang, and walking in, sock his lawyer right in the face because you already put yourself there,” Knight told ABC News of Davis’ alibi. “If somebody’s falling off the cliff, and you know this little twig, this little bitty flowers and daisies or whatever is not going to hold you up — but they’re still grabbing and trying. Knowing it’s not gonna hold them up, and that’s what he’s doing.”
He believes that Davis’ own words will be enough to put him away.
“Everything he said and talked about, he already told on himself,” Knight said. “So what are you going to do? Erase all the recordings of the interviews he did?”
