When Beyoncé goes on tour, she spends months working to prepare. She works out for hours, follows a strict meal plan, and trains with her backup dancers. She has said that she loves throwing herself into this work, but it is still a challenge for her. During one particularly exhausting period in her life, Beyoncé said she felt she had no one who cared about her health and well-being.

Beyoncé said people didn’t seem concerned about her health while on tour

In 2009, Beyoncé embarked on her I Am … world tour. In preparation for the 104 show tour, she rehearsed for 12 hours each day. After a period in which she performed on nine nights in a row, she was exhausted to the point of despondency.

“When you work that hard, you just need someone to say stop. You know? Your voice is a muscle and it needs rest, and imagine nine days,” she said in her I Am … World Tour film. “I was just delirious and feeling sorry and bad and I was like, you know, ‘I need rest.’ … And in the end, I cried because clearly I’m a human being and I bleed and I hurt and I cry and I fall just like anybody else.”

She said nobody stepped in to tell her she needed to take a break. Her days were a constant schedule of flights, concerts, and studio time.

“I’m just really upset that I don’t have anyone that’s concerned about my body and my well-being,” she said.

She said she argued often with her former manager over her busy schedule

In the early days of Beyoncé’s career, her father, Matthew Knowles, was her manager. She described him as a workaholic.

“He really knows what he’s doing, and he’s a workaholic,” she told Vogue. “And for a while I was starting to become that way. I realized that just because my parents are workaholics — because my mother is, too — it doesn’t mean I have to be one. So I have slowed down a lot — even though my slowing down is two movies and a tour in one year!”

She said they often clashed over her busy schedule. She felt she had too much on her plate, and he didn’t agree.

“The thing that me and my father sometimes bump heads over is: just too much,” she said.

In 2011, she dropped her father as her manager.

Beyoncé is currently on tour for her ‘Cowboy Carter’ album

Beyoncé is currently on her tenth tour for the album Cowboy Carter. The tour is nowhere near as vast as her Renaissance tour in 2023. She performed in multiple countries for Renaissance but will only travel across the United States, England, and France for her Cowboy Carter tour.
