Relationship expert Kara Francis noted that this kind of public scrutiny can be difficult on a relationship.
“Regardless of celebrity status and public opinion, whenever a couple faces a challenge in life, it can either drive a wedge between them or bring them closer together,” she told The Mirror. “It all comes back to each person’s ability to be vulnerable and communicate with the other, versus shutting down or withdrawing. If Timothée and Kylie are able to lean on and support each other during these situations rather than shut each other out, then this could definitely bring them closer together.”
