Expert Reveals How Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle and Others Really Felt During Princess Eugenie’s Wedding
Just five months after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle said “I do” at St. George’s Chapel on the grounds of Windsor Castle, another royal had their wedding there as well.
Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s nuptials on Oct. 12, 2018, weren’t as high-profile as the Sussexes. But there’s been no shortage of reporting about their day, especially after it was revealed that Meghan and Harry told members of the family that same day that they were expecting their first child.
Now, an expert who analyzed footage from that day is sharing what they noticed about a few royals as they sat in church together before the ceremony got underway.
Inbaal Honigman is a psychic astrologer and body language expert who has appeared in media for more than 20 years, giving her insights and expertise for Big Brother’s Little Brother, Elle Magazine, and talkSPORT radio, to name a few. In 2023, she accurately predicted that King Charles would develop an “illness” that would “become public knowledge via an official announcement” in 2024.
Speaking on behalf of OLBG, Honigman broke down how Meghan and Harry were acting, knowing they were about to share their big news, telling Showbiz Cheat Sheet: “Meghan enters wearing a very ‘showbizzy’ excited smile, with extremely raised eyebrows, intended to signify excitement. An exaggerated smile like this doesn’t signify joy but rather tension.
“Harry is a little jumpy, glancing from side to side, unsmiling. He comes across as if he’s getting ready for unwanted attention. He arranges his coat, which is a grooming gesture. It indicates insecurity. He touches his nose, then chews his lips, letting us know that he’s nervous.”
The Duke of Sussex later confirmed in his memoir Spare, that he and his wife did share Meghan’s pregnancy news with family at the event. While they aimed to avoid overshadowing the wedding, some reports suggest that Princess Eugenie felt the spotlight was taken away from her.
Honigman also pointed out how Prince William and the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) were interacting with Harry more than Meghan while they were seated in the same row.
“Harry and William make eye contact and chat good-naturedly, the two brothers smile at each other while Catherine looks directly at Harry, joining in the conversation,” Honigman noted. “Catherine’s arms are uncrossed in her lap, and the two princes also have their arms apart. This indicates that all three are feeling safe, secure, and comfortable in each other’s company.”
The expert added, “Meghan, on the other hand, is not looking directly at them. She’s staring into the middle distance, not particularly involved. Even more interestingly, her arms are crossed, which is a protective gesture. She’s not feeling very at home in this conversation.
“[Later] while Meghan chats casually to Princess Anne, smiling, Harry is staring straight ahead, lost in thought. He glances briefly at his wife, then downwards at his order of service — and we see him biting his lip. The lip biting is a self-soothing move, calming his nerves.”
