Fans Divided Over Lil’ Kim’s BET Awards Pre-Show Performance

There’s no question that Lil’ Kim is one of the greatest female rappers of all time. She is highly respected in the music industry as she broke barriers for other women, and her first album, Hardcore, has been dubbed “legendary” by critics.

But it is time for the GOAT responsible for that classic album to hang it up or should there be more respect given to the original Queen Bee for all her contributions to the game?

On June 9, Lil’ Kim joined Honey Bxby onstage for the “Left Eye” remix, but not everyone on X.com was impressed with the “Crush on You” hitmaker’s performance.

“That Lil’ Kim performance was hard to watch,” one person wrote.

“Lil Kim baby…. just retire,” another X user added.

And a third didn’t hold back, opining, “Lil Kim is the prime example of not knowing when to let go. When you’re no longer good at it, switch lanes bruh. Otherwise it becomes an embarrassment & a joke.”

Commenters on YouTube were much kinder, as the majority praised the pint-sized rap icon’s stage presence.
