Fans React to Cher Telling Kristen Bell She Can Do Better Than Dax Shepard
In a recent appearance on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, Shepard asked the music icon who she wished Kristen Bell had married. According to Shepard, Cher does not approve of his marriage to Bell. While Cher assured Shepard that she trusts Bell’s judgement, she noted that she doesn’t see what draws the Frozen actor to him. Fans have celebrated her response.

Cher was a guest on the Jan. 5 episode of Armchair Expert. In their conversation, Shepard asked the singer to pick her dream partner for Bell. He has been married to her since 2013.
“Who would be your dream partner for her?” he asked. “’Cause I know you think she could be better, and I don’t disagree.”
Cher did not reveal her ideal partner for Bell, but she hinted that she doesn’t exactly approve of Shepard.
“The truth is, I trust her,” she said. “So you must have something that I don’t see.”
Shepard pleaded his case to Cher.
“I’ll tell you the thing that you should like about me. I’m not threatened by her shining,” he said. “Love it. The shinier she gets, the better.”
Bell, who was present during the interview, added that she thinks Shepard is “almost too good” for her. Cher also noted that he seems “like a good dad.”

It seems that a number of people agree with Cher’s assessment of Shepard. Some of Bell’s fans believe that he isn’t a good fit for her.

“[P]eople ask me a lot, ‘What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever gotten?’ And I say it’s from you, because you said to me, ‘Honey, if it doesn’t matter in five years, it doesn’t matter.’”
Cher said this was advice from her mother, and she’s always lived by it.
“[T]hat’s my mom’s,” she said. “If it doesn’t matter in five years, it doesn’t matter. And I’ve used it my whole life.”
