Former Reality TV Star and Prince Harry’s Ex Arrested in Spain
One of Prince Harry’s former flames is making news after she was arrested in Majorca, Spain.
Catherine Ommanney, who previously starred on the Real Housewives of D.C., was arrested Jan. 11 on suspicion of fraud when she reportedly did not pay her bill at a popular resort. The hotel manager at the Playas del Rey Hotel in Santa Ponsa claimed that Ommanney had not settled a $583 bill she racked up during her nine-day stay, according to the Spanish publication Ultima Hora.
The Mirror noted that law enforcement sources confirmed the arrest and accused the former reality TV star of trying to use a card with “no funds on it.” She appeared before a judge in Palma on Jan. 12 and was released on bail pending an investigation.
Outside the courthouse, Ommanney denied the allegations, telling reporters, “It’s all bulls***. The bill was paid. I have proof the bill was paid in full. It was a technical error on the hotel’s behalf, and I will be seeking an apology through the justice system.”
Ommanney has spoken in the past about her romance with Prince Harry, saying that they had a two-month fling after meeting at a bar back in 2006 when he was 21 and she was 34. At the time, Ommanney was separated from her first husband, and Harry was in an on-again, off-again relationship with Chelsy Davy.
She called the duke “a total gentleman” and “a great kisser,” and opined, “I do believe he enjoyed my company because I’m a little bit older and wiser and not like the 20-year-olds or whatever he had been hanging out with. I had the patience to listen to what he said and give him some advice on life.”
