Jordan Spieth is one of the biggest names in golf today. The Texas native turned professional in 2012 and made a name for himself in the sport when he won the Masters and the U.S. Open in 2015 at the age of 21. The former World No. 1 has more than a dozen PGA Tour victories and is known for his exceptional short game.

But with Spieth’s accomplishments in the sport well-documented, fans want to know about his life away from the course. Here’s more on his wife, Annie Verret, who has been by his side through every moment of his career.

Speith and Verret are high school sweethearts

Spieth and Verret both hail from Texas. They began dating when they were teenagers and went to neighboring high schools in Dallas, as he attended Jesuit College Preparatory School while Verret graduated from Ursuline Academy. Verret first appeared on Speith’s Instagram in 2013.

For college, Verret enrolled in Texas Tech’s Rawls College of Business, and Spieth attended the University of Texas.

Verret graduated in 2014 with a degree in Business Management and as her LinkedIn page notes, she previously worked as an events coordinator for the First Tee of Greater Dallas, which uses the sport of golf to mentor young people. She was also the director of development for The Birthday Project. The latter organization was founded in 2012 and its mission is to “bring joy to homeless children through the magic of birthdays, hosting monthly parties for the children currently in these living situations.”

Today, she helps run the non-profit Jordan Spieth Family Foundation. According to its website, the organization was inspired by Spieth’s sister, Ellie, and provides “financial assistance and a platform for supporting children with special needs, military families, junior golf programs, and pediatric cancer.”

Verret and Speith got engaged on Christmas Eve 2017 and tied the knot on Nov. 24, 2018. A few fellow golfers, including Rickie Fowler and Zach Johnson, were among those in attendance.

After the wedding, Spieth revealed to the Golf Channel that he and Verret took a trip to the Caribbean for their honeymoon, sharing, “We went to the Caribbean. We had a good time. Went to a couple different places. It was nice after the wedding to go away and just have nothing going on. Then we both got a little bit bored, so good to be able to see other humans. It was a good time.”

Verret prefers to stay out of the limelight

Even though she is married to one of the most famous golfers in the world, Verret prefers to stay out of the spotlight and keeps her Instagram account set to private.

However, Spieth explained that she is extremely supportive of his career in the public eye.

“She’s just been that person that said, ‘whatever you need to do, I’m here to support you. Let me know how I can help. Let me know when too much is too much. Let me know if it’s not enough,’” he recalled. “Yeah, I mean, she’s been really unbelievable.”

How many children Speith and Verret have

Today, Speith and Verret have three children together. Their oldest son, Sammy, was born in November 2021, followed by their daughter, Sophie, in September 2023, and their second son, Sully, in July 2025.

While Verret doesn’t like to be in the spotlight, that didn’t stop her husband from publicly gushing about what a “rock star” she is at home with their kids.

Shortly after the birth of their third child, Speith told reporters, “I have less time at the course than I used to, but that’s my choice, right? Everything at home is taken care of. My wife’s a rock star. And I’m not — obviously, a newborn’s a newborn, but she’s doing most all of the heavy lifting … It’s been awesome. It’s just trying to, trying to be the best golfer in the world while still being super involved at home means those are my two priorities.”
