Before Brooklyn Beckham unfollowed Gordon Ramsay on social media, he had a friendly relationship with the celebrity chef. Ramsay recently encouraged Brooklyn to forgive his parents amid their family feud. Given the fact that Brooklyn responded by unfollowing him, it doesn’t seem that he appreciated the advice. In previous years, Ramsay was supportive of Brooklyn’s aspirations to become a chef.

Gordon Ramsay weighed in on Brooklyn Beckham’s relationship with his parents

In January, Ramsay posted a bombshell statement about his relationship with David and Victoria Beckham. In it, he said he has no plans to reconcile with his parents. Ramsay implored him to reconsider this stance.

“He’s desperate to forge his own way, and I respect that from him. It’s such a good thing to do,” he told The Sun. “But remember where you came from. And honestly, one day you’re not going to have your mum and dad, and you need to understand that. That penny will drop.”

He is friends with the Beckham family, and said he considered David and Victoria good parents.

“I just want Brooklyn to take a moment to himself. And remember: you’re half mum, half dad. And you’re an amazing young man,” he said. “But, boy, they’ve done more for you than anyone did in your entire life.”

Brooklyn appeared to block him in response.

Gordon Ramsay supported Brooklyn Beckham’s interest in cooking

Brooklyn is an amateur chef, and Ramsay has supported his cooking in the past. After Brooklyn received criticism over a video of his Sunday Roast, Ramsay jumped to his defense.

“Brooklyn has grown up with my kids and is the son of dear friends of ours. I haven’t seen the video of his supposedly ‘raw’ beef,” he told the Daily Mail. “But even as a 12-year-old, whilst playing football, Brooklyn was always excited about food. So I’m pleased that he’s gone down that road and he’s found something he really enjoys doing.”

He said he looked forward to seeing where Brookyn took his cooking career.

“It’s hard, isn’t it? Because he didn’t ask for that level of intrusion from having famous parents,” he said. “It probably came off a certain way, but it’s not his fault. So I have no issues against it. I’m excited. We have another chef joining the mix.”

He said Nicola Peltz inspired him to start cooking

Brooklyn said that while he learned to love cooking because of David Beckham, his wife, Nicola Peltz, is the reason he started taking it seriously.

“But, right before COVID, it was my wife and I and she basically can’t cook,” he told Business Insider. “I love cooking for my wife, so that’s how my culinary journey really started.”

He said Peltz often picked recipes for him.

“We have six dogs, so now we usually find ourselves just eating at home. Either we order Chinese takeaway, Indian takeaway, or I cook,” he said. “We love trying different cuisines, and she sends me all these videos of cooking recipes on Instagram and TikTok to make her.”
