After Justin ended his working relationship with former manager Scooter Braun, some have wondered if his wife stepped up to take control of his career. She said she finds this speculation ridiculous.
Hailey Bieber denied one rumor about her marriage to Justin Bieber
Braun helped make Justin a teenage idol and remained his manager for years. While they initially had a close relationship, things reportedly grew distant between them, and they cut ties in 2023. Some people began to speculate that Hailey took over as her husband’s manager.
“A couple months ago, it was like, ‘Hailey is doing management for her husband,’ like I’m taking over to be his manager,” Bieber told Owen Thiele on his In Your Dreams podcast. “Like, there’s no world which that would ever … but also that’s my husband, what do we think is going on here?”
Hailey has heard a lot of rumors about her relationship with Justin, and she said she sees this one as particularly far-fetched.
“I thought that one was really funny,” she said. “Because it was so ridiculous and far-fetched.”

For years, people have speculated about the state of the Biebers’ marriage. The pair reconnected and married shortly after he split from Selena Gomez for the final time. Paparazzi photos of the couple looking tense in public have also fueled speculation. Hailey said it has not been easy to live with so much attention on her personal life.
“Being postpartum is the most sensitive time I’ve ever gone through in my life, and learning a new version of myself is very difficult,” she told Vogue. “And to be doing that all the while going on the internet every day and people being like, ‘They’re getting divorced,’ and ‘They’re this,’ and ‘They’re not happy’ — it is such a mindf***. I cannot even begin to explain it. It’s a crazy life to live.”
She said she never expected to experience people talking about her marriage so many years after her wedding date.
“Well, I thought seven years in it would’ve already, and it hasn’t,” she said. “You would think after having a child, people would maybe move on, chill out a little bit, but no. So I guess these b****es are going to be mad.”
The singer now has a distant relationship with Scooter Braun
Justin and Braun were very close in the early years of the singer’s career. Things apparently grew strained over time. Justin owed Braun millions after cancelling his Justice Tour. Still, Braun said he doesn’t have any hard feelings towards Bieber.
“I think there comes a point where I understand he probably wants to go on and show that he can do it,” he said on the Diary of a CEO podcast. “I think you get to a point as a man where you want to show the world you can do it on your own. And I completely respect that.”
He said he looks forward to watching his continued success from afar.
“I think at this point, that’s what he’s doing,” he said. “Myself and everyone from the old team is rooting for him.”
