Halle Berry’s Show-Stopping Engagement Ring From Fiancé Van Hunt Cost More Than a House
They say the third time is the charm. But for Halle Berry, the fourth time just may be. The movie star has tied the knot three times in the past and admitted that she thought she was done. Berry said for years she was just focused on raising her children instead of concerning herself with a love life or being in a relationship. But then Van Hunt came along.
The X-Men actress and the Grammy-winning musician went public with their relationship in September 2020. Then in February 2026, Berry revealed that they are engaged and during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, showed off the stunning ring Hunt proposed to her with.

How much Berry’s engagement ring from Hunt is worth
Neil Dutta, Managing Director of the U.K. jewelry retailer Angelic Diamonds, shared several details about the star’s show-stopping engagement ring that cost more than a small house.
Dutta told Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “The ring appears to feature a distinctive centre diamond set in yellow gold, with colored accent stones worked into the band. The center stone appears to be around the one to two carat mark; however, what stands out is the design’s structure.
“This isn’t a standard solitaire setting. The gold is bold, the shoulders are pronounced, and the additional stones add visual weight. That kind of construction suggests the ring was designed as a complete piece rather than built purely around carat size.”
Dutta added, “When you combine a natural diamond of that size with coloured gemstones and bespoke craftsmanship, I would expect the valuation to cost at least $200,000 but could be upwards of $250,000, depending on the exact diamond grading.”
Who Berry was previously married to
As mentioned, this will be Berry’s fourth trip down the aisle.
In 1992, after dating for several months, Berry proposed to former MLB star David Justice. They said “I do” in early 1993. The two reportedly did not have a good marriage and divorced four years later.
In 2001, Berry wed R&B recording artist Eric Benét. But not long after their wedding came reports that the singer was cheating. There were claims that Benét had a “sex addiction,” and he checked himself into a 35-day sex-addict rehab program in 2002. He said he did so to try and “save his marriage,” but he and Berry ended up divorcing in 2005. Following their divorce, Berry had a five-year relationship with model Gabriel Aubry. They did not get hitched but welcomed a daughter, Nahla Ariela Aubry, in 2008.
Berry had her second child with her third husband, actor Olivier Martinez. The two were married in 2013 and welcomed their son, Maceo-Robert Martinez, that same year. They separated in 2015, and after a long, contentious legal battle, which included a custody dispute over Maceo, their divorce was finalized in 2023.
