Harry Styles’ latest album release is driving up interest in his haircut. Styles, who gained attention for his hair in the One Direction days, continues to inspire hairstyles. Beauty experts noted that searches for the “textured quiff” have jumped in recent months. They believe Styles has contributed to the growing trend.

An analysis of Google search data showed a growing interest in the “textured quiff” hairstyles over the past five years. This interest has climbed 37% in the past three months alone.

“The textured quiff is one of those timeless hairstyles that comes back around every few years, but right now we’re seeing a noticeable surge in interest,” said Danielle Louise, hair & beauty expert on Fresha.

Styles has been rolling out his latest album, Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally, in recent months. Louise believes people can attribute the rising interest in the textured quiff to him.

“Harry Styles has always had a strong influence on men’s grooming trends, and his recent shorter, textured style has reminded people how versatile the quiff can be,” she said. “It’s polished enough for formal events but still relaxed and modern.”

She added that the haircut is wearable and easy to style.

“Modern quiffs are much more wearable,” Louise explained. “Barbers are using layering and texture rather than lots of product, which gives the style a more effortless finish.”

To hair and beauty experts, Styles’ hair is both stylish and effortless. 

“This cut is all about attitude, movement, and effortless cool,” said Annabelle Taurua, a hair and beauty expert with Fresha. “It features soft, lived-in layers that only get better as they grow out. Slightly undone and designed to move naturally, it’s the kind of haircut that radiates rock‑and‑roll edge without ever looking forced.”

To achieve this look, Taurua recommended asking a stylist for “soft, layered texture with natural movement,” “shorter sides for a sharp, modern silhouette,” and “styling with lightweight texture spray or cream for that relaxed, tousled finish.”

He recently addressed rumors that he got a hair transplant

For years, Styles was the subject of speculation that he got a hair transplant or was wearing some kind of hairpiece. People carefully examined his hairline in photos and wondered if he needed help maintaining the appearance of his hair.

In 2022, he said he wasn’t balding.

“What is it with baldness? … It skips a generation or something, right?” he told Rolling Stone. “If your grandad’s bald then you’ll be bald? Well, my granddad wasn’t bald, so fingers crossed.”

More recently, though, he possibly confirmed the rumors that he did something to his hairline. During a recent episode of Brittany Broski’s Royal Court, she asked Styles if his teeth were fake. He said they were real, before joking, “This hairline, though.”
