For years, the couple was able to keep their relationship pretty private. That is until Metcalf was ready to burst with happy news during his introductory press conference with the Pittsburgh Steelers and announced that they were engaged.

Normani was born on May 31, 1996, in Atlanta to parents Derrick and Andrea Hamilton. She was raised in New Orleans before her family relocated to Houston following Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Normani’s mother used to travel with her between Houston and Los Angeles so she could attend singing and dancing auditions.

In 2012, Normani was featured on The X Factor USA but was cut during the second round of boot camp. However, she was invited back that season and performed with Ally Brooke, Lauren Jauregui, Dinah Jane, and Camila Cabello. The women went on to form the successful girl group Fifth Harmony.

Metcalf’s net worth

Metcalf was born on Dec. 14, 1997, in Oxford, Mississippi. His father, Terrance Metcalf, was a professional football player as an offensive linemen for the Chicago Bears, Detriot Lions, and New Orleans Saints.

After playing his college ball for the Ole Miss Rebels, where his dad also went, Metcalf was selected by the Seahawks in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft. The two-time Pro Bowler was traded to the Steelers in the 2025 offseason. He inked a five-year, $150 million deal with the his new team.

While Normani’s net worth is nothing to sneeze at, it’s not as much as Metcalf’s. The Steelers wideout’s new contract gives him an annual salary of $24 million and he currently has an estimated net worth of $30 million.

During an interview on Mani Petty, the athlete revealed the moment he knew Normani was the one.

“After about a year and a half, because I had never been in a relationship longer than a year,” he told the host. “I started to have a gravitational pull towards her mom and her father and my sisters were having conversations with her so I was like alright, this is good.”
