Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have several famous neighbors in their Montecito, California, neighborhood. A few of the celebrities who live close to the prince and former Suits star include Katy Perry, Gwyneth Paltrow, and, of course, their pal and former talk show host Oprah Winfrey.

Now it’s believed that the Sussexes will have another A-list neighbor, but not in Montecito. The couple reportedly purchased a property abroad. One celeb is said to be looking to relocate to the same development as the duke and duchess. Here’s more on that.

Prince Harry and Meghan reportedly bought a property in Portugal near another royal

Prince Harry and his wife‘s Southern California estate is nicknamed “The Chateau.” The massive $14 million home where they have resided since 2020 is 18,000 square feet. It sits on nearly five acres of land, boasting 16 bathrooms and nine bedrooms.

But in 2024, multiple reports surfaced that the pair snatched up a villa in Europe in an exclusive area that is home to not only plenty of other wealthy people but also another royal. According to those reports, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex bought a home in Portugal near Harry’s cousin, Princess Eugenie, and her husband, Jack Brooksbank.

Eugenie and Brooksbank relocated to Comporta in 2022 when Brooksbank began working with CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club property tycoon Mike Meldman. The couple splits their time between Portugal and England, so Eugenie still gets to spend time with her parents and her sister, Princess Beatrice.

Express notes that a local real estate agent shared that Meghan and Harry would have shelled out more than $4 million for a property at the luxury CostaTerra resort found on Portugal’s west coast.

He said: “In recent years, we have seen A-listers from the States buying homes or plots which are essentially closed environments. It’s very high-end, and homes range from $4 million to $20 million euros. There have been rumors in recent months that Harry and Meghan are among the buyers. But it’s unclear if they have bought a home that is already built or if it is yet to be built.”

According to the Daily Mail, Kidman submitted her application with the country’s immigration agency in July 2025 and has been “eyeing up properties” at CostaTerra. Local media outlet SIC Notícias reported that she had been seeking a dwelling in the country for a while. Many believe it would make sense for Kidman to move to a community in the company of other Hollywood elites.

Some other stars with homes there include George Clooney and Paris Hilton.
